I sat in the throne room right besides Megatrons chair. He was..I'm not sure how he was feeling, ever since the fight which happened two weeks ago he hasn't spoken a word about it. He would give me breif yet loving glances, anytime I asked about it he would completely side step the question and either walk out or change the topic. Anytime time I tried to make some type of affectionate advance he would brush me off like I was a spec of dust.
To round it all up I was simply livid with this treatment and his dumb bland emotionless grey plates. I wanted to atleast know some type of way he was feeling towards the fight! I grumbled quietly from my place on the floor, flicking my blades in and out in boredom. Sure I could leave, I could go where I wanted right now even though I wasn't allowed to leave the base, but I stayed just for the sole purpose of Megsy slightly opening up or even possibly sparking some type of reaction out of him.
"Would you stop that." He grumbled still reading up reports on his data pad. I smirked, there we go, a reaction.
"Pardon me?" I asked innocently, continuing to flick the blades in and out, glancing up at his face with a smile. He glanced back down at me for the longest time ever with that same old emotionless gaze before sighing heavily. "What is it, Lillian?" He sounded defeated. My ears lowered and I stopped the flicking.
That wasn't really a reaction I wanted. But it was one non the less, so I sighed and stood up leaning on the arm of his throne.
"Tell me why everytime that fight is brought you ignore it. Are you mad at me? Proud? Scared? Something? When you found me you didn't really say anything." I cautiously asked, it was like stepping on eggshells with him when he was in one of those moods, though I think stepping on eggshells dont have much effect nowadayas anymore, huh?
He stared me down with one of his intimidating gazes, face emotionless, a slight frown set amongst his mouth. When I was human I would have found this terrifying, but now its just something I dubbed as 'Neutral Expression'. I stared back with as much intensity as he offered and finally he looked away and at the doors of the room. There was silence for what felt like hours, but was only 3 minutes, and when I was about to open my mouth and complain he started first.
"I was scared. You haven't done your best in training, the ability I know you have, and I dubbed you as not ready. I ordered Lugnut to watch over you right when that first alarm started. I knew with how excited you were for your first battle that you would try to follow me, but I can't let that happen until you're prepared. But you had slipped his grasp and fled to the scene, and what I saw wasyour ability. The look in your eye was akin to the common quote 'Bloodlust', something I grasped quiet well in my millenniums of being war tyrant. You were able to mindlessly cut down the quickest autobot just like that and slip past Lugnut.." He stopped talking and rested an elbow on the right arm of the throne, oppisite of me, and rested his head in his palm.
He didn't stare at me, didn't talk for the longest time, and I shifted weight foot from foot. Im not sure if that rant was a good thing or bad, he said it in a way that didn't really express either, more of just like reciting old memories. Finally after he seemed to not wanting to talk about it anymore I leaned down and daringly landed a kiss right on the cold grey metal of his cheek.
He looked at me with shock and I sadly smiled, hopping down the steps and out of the throne room walking to the entrance of the cave. I sat on the edge of the drop down into the forrest from the entrance and swung my legs sighing. I wish I knew if I did something wrong. He seemed apprehensive about reciting how he saw something similar in me that he did himself. It was so confusing, HE was so confusing!
A hand landed on my shoulder and I squeaked way to loudly. Looking up I saw the last bot I wanted to see today, Starscream.
"Trouble thinking, pet?" He sneered but the insult didn't hold as much venom as it used to. I gauged his reaction for a moment before turning around and staring at the trees deciding to humor him, its not often he acts this civil. "I wish I knew how Megatron felt." I whispered.
He snorted from behind me and then sat next to me heavily. I let shock run over me and he stared at me for awhile.
"You're a weird one. Certainly special if you caught Megatrons 'Affections'," I dont know if I should feel flattered or insulted, but he continued. "Megatron isn't one to flaunt emotions. He isn't one to accept what you two are doing. He isn't one to easily accept being overpowered."
He stared at me expectantly with a tiny smirk, I stared back blankly and he only rolled his red optics and leaned back a little, his clawed hands holding him up. "Im saying, back there, you showed him how much you are similar to him. Unfortunately so, I fought along side his rusty arse for a longwhile. He was as reckless as you were back in the battle, yet while he had years upon years of skill to keep him safe from those random fights. You have nothing." And with that he stood, made a show stretching and flashing his wings, then walking back in the cave.
I blinked, then again.
Ooh.
Oh.
I stared back at the entrance with wide optics filled with concern and some unIdentifiable emotion swirling inside as I recalled the events. He was scared, afraid, but of what or who Im not sure.
