Chapter 12

ELLY’S POV

After our very long shower, I’m now standing at the front door making out with Dill once again.

“I love you.” I told him when he broke the kiss.

“I love you more.” He told me while giving me one last kiss before he leaves to go home. Since I’m all better, Hope’s mom wanted Dill back so she can spend more time with him.

“I miss you already!” I tell him through the mind link. While I watch him drive off.

“I’m miss you too.” He said. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a juice pouch. I walked to my room and lay down. I turned on the TV and the movie The Sound of Music was playing. I fell asleep cuddling with Dill’s pillow that still had his scent on it. I miss him so much and it hasn’t even been ten minutes. I fell asleep and I was having a nightmare. I was walking in the woods and I heard a twig be broken. The sounds of footsteps were getting closer and closer. I turned around to see who was following me but nobody was there. I shrugged it off and told myself it was just my imagination. When I turned back around and saw my brother Michael lying on the floor. I got closer to him and knelt down. By now the tears were streaming down my face. I touched his face and he was freezing cold. His eyes shot open as soon as my hand touched his face. His eyes shot open, they weren’t blue like they were when I last saw him, but they were red.  He looked at me and his lips curved into a smile.

“Hey Elly.” He said. I noticed that he had fangs. That leads to one thing. Vampire.

“This can’t be. You’re dead.” I told him crying.

“Yea, now you’re dead too. Here look for yourself.” He gave me a mirror and my face was also pale and my lips were cherry red. I gasp and something in mouth caught my attention. I opened my mouth and saw that I fangs. 

“Elly?” I heard Dill’s voice calling me. I turned around and him. He was enraged.

“I can’t believe you left me. To be a vampire.” He said hurt.

“No, I didn’t I’m still yours.” I told him while getting closer towards him.

“No you will never be mines again. You will never spend time with this asshole again he took you from me.” he said while he ran towards Michael and killed him by tearing his body to shreds. He looked and me and ran. He grabbed my shoulders, I looked straight onto his eyes and I didn’t see hurt or heartbreak. I saw anger. He grabbed my neck and before anything else happened I was awakened by a searing pain to my cheek.

I opened my eyes and rubbed my check. I saw Hope and Dill looking at me worriedly. I remembered my dream and started crying.

“Don’t cry, the slap was only to wake you up from your crazy nightmare.” Hope said. “You were crying in your sleep and you kept saying your brother’s name.

“It was so real. He was a vampire and Dill killed him, and before he could kill me you slapped me. Thank you for slapping me.”

“You’re welcome baby girl. Now come on we are late for school.”

“I don’t have to go to school no more. The principle said me and you don’t have to go no more since we already have more than enough credits in all of our classes. We don’t have to go back until graduation day which is Friday.” I told her while walking towards the bathroom and brushing my teeth.

“And when were you going to tell me this?” she said.

“Well I got a call on a day of the week I can’t remember, and I was supposed to tell you but I guess I forgot.”
