Chapter 21

[Elly]

“I wanna see my babies!!!” I yelled and laid my head on Dill’s lap. I have been counting the days until I get to see my babies in a sonogram, and tomorrow we get to find out the sex of the baby. I’m totally excited. He started playing with my hair.

“We are going to see OUR babies tomorrow.” Dill told me correcting me as well.

“Don’t correct me…” I told him warningly, my pregnancy hormones getting the best of me. I rubbed my 20 week belly which is really big. I felt something kick my hand. I froze.

“HOLY SHITBALLS!!!!” I yelled. I felt the babies kick once again.

“What? What’s happening?” he asked worried. I grabbed his hand and put it to where the babies where kicking. A huge smiled spread across his face.

“Aww. Too bad mom and dad are back home.” I told him. Dill and I moved to Massachusetts so Dill can finish college. We had our own small apartment and we are moving back home in a month. And then we will start buying the rest of the baby stuff. I already bought the furniture and toys.

“Hey when we move back home why don’t we just get our own mansion?” I asked Dill.

“Nope. Your mom and dad are moving out when we go home. They already told me that they are moving to the house by the lake that you guys own.”

“Since when have you known this?” I said getting angry.

“Yesterday?”

“Mike is still going to live with us right?”

“No. He’s going to propose to Autumn. And they already found a small apartment.”

“How come I don’t know any of this stuff?” I said completely angry.

“Because you were taking a nap when everyone called.” He said frustrated about my pregnancy hormones.

“Why didn’t you wake me?” I growled angrily.

“Every time I wake you up you yell at me!! You're scary when I wake you up!!”

“Well I’m sorry!!!” I said with tears streaming down my face. “Damn pregnancy hormones!!” I sobbed.

“Don’t cry babe. I’m sorry I didn’t wake you.” Dill said trying to calm me down.

“Just wake me up next time okay?”

“I promise.”

“Pinky promise?” I said holding my pinky. He wrapped his large pinky around me and smiled.

“I pinky promise.” He said and I smiled and kissed his lips softly.  I was about to pull away but I guess it wasn’t enough for him. We kissed passionately but stopped at the right time.

“I love you.” I told him and pecked him on the lips.

“I love you too.” He replied and pulled me onto his lap. I put my head on his shoulder and my stomach growled.

“You know……. you should order some Chinese take out.” I told him and smiled.

“That sounds like a great idea.” He said. He pulled me off his lap and laid me on the couch as he went to the kitchen for the phone.

“Order some orange chicken!!” I yelled.

“Okay!!” he yelled back.

Someone knocked on the door so I got up and looked through the peep hole. I screamed. I opened the door and hugged Hope.

“Oh my god!!! What are you doing here!!! I’m so happy to see you!!” I said excitedly.

“Well, I had nothing to do at home so I decided to come and visit!! And whoa!!!” she said and looked at my huge belly.

“You look very pregnant!!!” she yelled. “Have you found out the sex of the baby?”

“No. We find out tomorrow. Did Collin come?” I asked.

“Yea. He’s at the car getting the bags.”

“Cool. Come in, Mi casa es tu casa.” I said once I notice that we were standing out in the hallway.

“You’re apartment is so cozy and homie.” She said as she sat on the couch.

“Thanks.” I said as Collin walked in with two suitcases.

“The guestroom is right there.” I said as I pointed to a door down our small hallway. He smiled and walked toward the room. Dill walked in and his eyes widened in surprise. He smiled and walked over to his sister to give her a hug.

“What are you doing here?” 

“Well nice to know that you are happy to see me.” she said sarcastically. “I came to visit you guys. I had nothing to do at home so why not visit my brother and my very pregnant best friend.”

“Hey do you want to come and see the babies with us?” I asked excitedly.

“Of course!!” Hope replied clearly excited.

“Yay!! Let’s watch a movie.” I suggested.

“Sure. What movies do you have?” Hope asked.

“Mostly Disney movies because of my obsession. But we have a few comedies and horror.” I replied.

“Do you have Paranormal Activity 3?” she asked.

“Yea! I just got it yesterday!!” I replied. I went to the DVD rack on got the DVD. I popped the DVD into the DVD player and sat down next to Dill. The doorbell rang as soon as I sat down and I groaned.

“Must be the food delivery guy. I ordered enough food for all of us.” Dill said as he got up and got our food. He came back and gave us each a box and eat while we watched the movie. I finished my food and laid my head on Dill’s shoulder and fell asleep.
