Chapter 22

[ELLY’S POV]

I sat there with tears of joy in my eyes. I’m hearing my twin’s heartbeats. I love it!!!

“Do you want to know the sex of the babies?” Doctor Dude asked us. I gave him a look that said are-you-really-asking-me-that. 

“Duhhhh.” I said.

“Okay.” he said and laughed. I heard Hope, Dylan, and Collin laughs.

“Don’t laugh at me guys.” I told them seriously. “You don’t want to get on my bad side.”

All three of them straitened up at look at the screen which my babies were on. Dill grabbed my hand and kissed.

“Well it seems like you are having a boy and a girl.” The doc said happily.

“YAY!!!” I said excitedly. “We are having Isaiah and Isabella!!!” I looked at Dill and gave him a big kiss on the lips.

“I love you.” He said to me.

“I love you too.”  I replied.

“Okay you are set to go and I will see you soon.”  The doc said as he wiped the jelly of my belly.

“Okay doc.” I said as I pulled my shirt down and got off the bed thingy.

“I’m so excited!!! Once you come back home with us you guys can get all the other baby stuff!!” Hope said.

“I know. And I could do the baby rooms!!!” I said excitedly. I grabbed Dills hand and walked out of the hospital.

“So where to now?” I asked since we hadn’t planned to do anything today other than come to see the babies.

“Let’s go celebrate!!!” Collin said.

“Yea!!!” 

“Let’s go feed those babies in your belly.”

“I say we go to the pizzeria and eat pizza!!!” 

“No we are going to the pizzeria to eat tacos.” Hope said sarcastically. I laughed at her and then go into the car. We went to the pizzeria and ordered two deep-dish pizzas. We ate it all and then went home to watch a movie. We decided to watch The Wrong Turn, which scared the hell out of me. Then they decided to watch The Wrong Turn 2. I got up and gave Dill a kiss.

“Where you going?” he asked me.

“I’m not watching another of those movies. That’s fucking scary.” I told him and he laughed.

“Okay then. I’ll in bed after the movie.” He said and I walked away to shower. I showered and as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.

-Week 37 of pregnancy-

I laughed at the TV as I sat in the game-room. I’ve been watching America’s Funniest Home Videos for the last two hours. I ate my cheese balls as Dill walked in with my Mike behind him.

“How are you feeling?” Dill asked once again. He knows that I can have contractions any second and go into labor.

“I’m fine.” I said annoyed.

“Just making sure.” 

“So what are you watching?” he asked. Mike and I looked at him like he’s wacko.

“Do know what Americas Funniest Home Videos is?” I asked him.

“No. Why?” he replied. I choked on the cheese balls I was currently eating. Dill quickly came to my rescue.

“Oh my sweet Jesus. This is America’s Funniest Home Videos. It’s a show about families who send they’re funny videos and they get put on TV. Now watch.” I told him as videos of babies making funny faces came on.  We laughed the whole time. We kept on laughing until I felt something wet. I looked at my pants and they were wet. I instantly knew that wasn’t pee because I would have smelled it.

“OH MY SWEET CHEESE BALLS!!!” I yelled as I got my first contraction. I cried out in pain.

“What’s goi- OH MY GOD!!! MIKE GO GET THE CAR READ WHILE I GO GET ELLY SOME NEW PANTS AND CARRY HER TO THE CAR!!!” Dill yelled.

“Okay. I’ll call mom and dad. Ells it will be okay. Just breathe.” He told me.

“HURRY UP AND GET THE DAMN PANTS AND CAR!” I yelled at both of them. They each took off running. Oh great now I’m alone. We were the only ones home since Martha went to do grocery shopping. I yelped out in pain as another contraction came as Dill walked into the room. He quickly came to my aid and then changed my pants and carried me to the car. He sat me in the back seat and then climbed in himself. Mike sped off to the hospital focused clearly on the road.

“Oh my Lordy it’s actually happening.” I said.

“Yea. I’m excited. Are you excited?” Dill said trying to get my mind off the pain. It was not working. We arrived at the hospital and they wheeled me into a room. Another contraction hit me as my parents walked in. My mother came to my side and told me to breathe. The doc came in and checked to see how far along I was.

“You are 5 centimeters. You are dilating very quickly so I’ll give it about forty more minutes.” The Doc said. I whimpered because of the pain I’m in.

“So are you ready to see you’re twin’s babe?” Dill asked me.

“Yes. I’m very excited.” I said smiling through the pain I was in.
