I was sitting on Chris's lap on the couch, leaning back into him as we watched tv. He was gently playing with my hair.
"Your hair smells good, Britt." He said with a raspy voice. I giggled and kissed his cheek. His phone started ringing and he brought it out. It was Porter. Ugh!
"Hellllllllo?" Chris said, dragging out 'hello' like he always does. His side of the conversation was really just a bunch of "yeahs" and "okays." He hung up and looked at me.
"You gotta leave again, don't ya?" I asked, disappointed. He's always gone. I never get to have time alone with him. He nodded.
"Yeah, baby girl." He gathered his stuff, kissed me, and left. I laid down on the couch and cried silently to myself. Soon I fell asleep.
I woke up and stretched. It was two in the afternoon! Wow! Haven't had sleep like that in a long time. I looked around for Chris and then remembered he was gone. Until I heard the door swing open.
"Hey, babe!" He said with a smile, then his smiled dropped. "What's wrong, Britt?" He added.
"You're never home anymore, Chris," I sadly stated.
     "I know...I'm sorry, I really am but-"
"But what! Ghosts are more important than your relationship? You can't kiss a ghost, Chris! You can't hold a ghost. You can't love a ghost." I raised my voice. Chris just looked at me.
"How about I let you come with us? Be apart of the team?"  I have been begging him to take me along on cases..
"Really? You'd let me come?" I asked. He smiled.
"Yes. I don't wanna lose you. You're my best friend, I love you."
"Oh, come here, baby." I said, pulling him in for a long kiss.
"Oh thank God. I was getting scared to come in." Brannon said, opening the door the rest of the way. Chris and I began to laugh.
"Tell me, can a ghost do this?" Chris asked, picking me up bridal style and running outside to the pond, throwing me in. I came up and gasped. He got on his hands and knees and crawled to the edge. I smirked and kissed him, then pulling him in with me.
"No, a ghost cannot do that," I said.
     "Cannonball!" Brannon yelled.

Hope it's good Brittney_Ashba ! It would've been up earlier, but I had to go to the dentist for a filling. It was awful! But if you want me to make any changes or write another one just let me know!😘☺️
