Chapter 9

JACOBS POV
I just asked Emma to marry me. And she said yes! I was the happiest guy alive. I'm sure Emma was the happiest girl alive. Me and Emma said our goodbyes to our friends and joined our hands again. "I'm SO happy that you said yes to marrying me, babe." I told Emma, as we walked along the path. "Oh, did I say yes? I meant, definitely no." Emma replied, sarcastically. I stopped dead in my tracks and stared at Emma, unlinking mine and her's hand. "I'm just kidding!" Emma exclaimed, falling into me. I caught her, obviously. "I know." I told her, laughing. She was laughing too.
EMMAS POV
So, I told Jacob that I was kidding about saying no to him and I found it HILARIOUS! I kinda feel bad for doing that, but he knew that I was kidding. I think...Me and Jacob talked and laughed on the way home. Jacob's mom took his car for something, so we had to walk.
We reached back to Jacob's place, because we decided to tell his family first. We got inside and his mom went, "Where've you two been? You seem happy." Me and Jacob smiled at eachother. "We are." I said. "Yeah." Jacob agreed. "What did you do?" She asked, suspiciously. "Nothing. Well, not nothing. We did something pretty big." Jacob said, smiling and gripping my hand tighter. "Oh no. You didn't do what I thought you did, do I?" Jacob's mom asked. "No, no. No!" I exclaimed, shaking my head. "Okay. Then, what did you do?" She asked, curiously. "I did what you thought I wasn't gonna have the guts to do." Jacob said, smirking. She stood there, staring at us, confused. Then she realised. She gasped and ran into us and gave us both a really big hug. "Awh! Jacob, I'd never think you would actually do it!" She exclaimed, giving him a kiss. "Mom. Get off." Jacob commanded and pushed her off. "You're the one for him, Emma." Jacob's mom whispered to me. But it wasn't really a whisper. The whole house could practically hear her.
