Chapter 28

EMMAS POV
I woke up and I took my phone from my bedside table. I went to bed about half 11 and now it's 2pm. I stretched and yawned, then I gradually got out of my bed. I went downstairs and saw Jacob and Weston sat on the couch, looking at me. "What? Have I got something on my face?" I asked. "No, no. Sit down, a sec. I just need to ask you something." Jacob said, patting the seat in between him and Weston. I sat down and asked, "What's wrong?" Jacob took a deep breath and asked, "You know what your parents died?" I nodded. "Did you tell Weston?" Jacob asked. "No. I didn't. I thought you did." I replied. "Well, someone texted me the day after your parents died, saying something like something terrible has happened." Weston explained. "That definitely wasn't me." I said. "Okay. Just asking." Jacob said. "Right. I'm really sorry, but I need to call Duncan and Trinity. They live together now. They ditched Brad and me." I explained. "Awh. Sorry. But yeah, go ahead." Jacob said. I grabbed my phone and called Duncan.
Duncan: Hey sis. How's it going?
Me: Duncan. You need to get here now. I saw Brad being arrested. Bring Trin aswell.
Duncan: Woah, woah, woah. What happened?
Me: I have no clue. He just kept saying he was sorry to me, every time I asked him what he did. Just get here with Trinity as soon as possible.
Duncan: Okay. Coming round now. Trinity get rea-
And then he hung up. I needed to go see Brad. Just then, my phone rang. It was the jail.
Me: Hello?
Brad: Em. It's me...Brad. I'm so sorry for what I did...
Me: W-what did you do?!
Brad: I killed someone...!
Me: Y-you...you did...you did what?
Brad: I killed my ex...I'm so sorry! I never meant to hurt anyone!
Me: No, no, no. Don't be sorry. Surely there's a reason why you did what you did. I'm your sister. I'll always stick up for you.
Brad: Thanks...I-
Then I could hear someone yelling in the back ground. "Carore! Time's up!"
Brad: I've got to go. Please come visit me!
Me: You're in jail?!
Then he hung up. Brad's in jail. "Jacob!" I yelled. He came running to me. "Babe. What's the matter? What's wrong?" Jacob asked. "It's Brad....he...he's in jail. He's gonna be locked up for ages!" I cried. "Why? What did he do?" Jacob asked. "He killed him ex. His ex has a boyfriend too. Oh, Jacob. What mess as he got himself into?!" I asked, crying.
