Chapter 5

EMMAS POV
"Uhh...I'm a little confused as to what is happening with you guys right now..." I said, looking around the room. The room had been decorated and really nicely actually. "Umm...I'm pretty sure it's your birthday?" Cameron asked. "Yeah. But, I don't deserve this at all!" I whinged. "What?! Of course you do, Em! You've been through hell for years now and of course you deserve this!" Loren exclaimed, coming over to me and giving me a hug. "Awh! Okay. You won me over. Thank you, guys!" I thanked and went over to them all and we did a group hug. "Come over here, babe." I told Jacob. Jacob strolled over to us and joined the hug.
My 'party' lasted quite a while until Mark stood on the couch. Silence filled the room. "Ahem!" Mark coughed, loudly. "It's time for the speeches." He carried on. "Speeches?" I whispered to Jacob. Jacob smirked at me and nodded at Mark, signalling for me to watch him. "Okay. Emma is my best friend and I couldn't ask for a better one." Mark said. "Nope. I can't watch this. I'll cry." I said and started to walk up the stairs. "No, you're not. You're staying here." Jacob told me and pulling me back to where I was standing. "She's always there for me in tough times and when I had to fake I was dead...she cried over me. Like, every night. Everyday. We have known eachother for like 10 years now and you haven't forgotten me in that 5 or 6 years we haven't seen eachother. That...is what I call an amazing best friend. I couldn't ask for anyone else. I love you, Emma." Mark explained, tearing up. I was crying. Like actually crying. "Oh, Mark. I love you too. I cannot believe we met eachother. Like, ugh!" I said and hugged him. We cried into each others shoulders for a minute. "Right. Jacob. I think you're next up." Cameron stated. Jacob went and stood on the couch. I stood next to Mark, watching him. "Phew. I don't know how to say this and explain to you how much I love you. Ever since you have entered my life, you have turned it upside down. I would be nothing without you here with me right now. You. Emma. Babe. You have made me love you until the end of time, you've made me love you even more than ANYONE has on the planet. I just wanna make it clear that I love you SO much. And I never want to let you go." Jacob told me. "That's so sweet!" I heard someone whisper to someone else. I just stared at Jacob, tears streaming down my face. Jacob had one tear escape from his eye. Then, a couple more. "I love you too. And I never want to let you go, Jacob." I told Jacob. Jacob jumped off the couch and we walked up to eachother. We swung our arms around eachother and I whispered in his ear, "Remember that. Forever." He whispered back in my ear, "I will. And remember, everything, I told you before." "I will." I replied. "Right. Who's next?" Mark asked, after me and Jacob finished hugging. "I'll go." Loren volunteered. "Go ahead." Mark said. Loren hopped onto the couch and coughed. What was it with standing on the couch? "Emma. You are like the best friend I never had. The girl who makes me laugh when I'm down. The friend who keeps my secrets. You are the person I can always tell things to and turn to. Like, you have never rejected me. And I would never reject you. You are the best friend I'll always love. All I'm saying is that, I love you. And I'll carry on loving you, Em." Loren said, smiling. "I love you too, Loren. And I'll never stop loving you. You'll always be my best friend..." I told her, hugging her after she came off the couch. These speeches were making me an emotional mess. Like I was crying on each one so far.
