EMMAS POV
I walked outside, and unlocked the doors for the car. I opened the door and sat inside. I stared at the doors at the police station and bursted into tears. After a couple of seconds, I heard somebody knock on my window. I looked up and saw Joey. I winded down my window and said, "Sorry. Hey. How you doing?" He smiled. "I need you to do me a huge favour." He said. "Here. Get in." I told him. He walked around to the other side, and got in. "Right. What's the favour?" I asked. "It's about Loren. See, I don't understand why she broke up with me." Joey explained. "She kissed Mark and her feelings for you, all went to Mark. I think..." I replied. "Yeah, but...I still don't understand. Wasn't I good enough for her? What does she see in Mark that she doesn't see in me?" Joey said. "Joey. She sees everything in you. But I think she sees everything in Mark but more. That's not in a mean way, at all. Just ask her." I answered. "Can't you? That was the favour." Joey said. "No. Joey, if you want a better chance of getting back with Loren, you're gonna have to talk to her, face to face." I said to him. "I'm scared..." Joey confessed. "Joey. Seriously? You're 21 years old. Nearly 22! You're a grown man!" I exclaimed, starting my engine. "Where we going?" Joey asked. "Loren's house." I replied, as I started to drive. "No. I'm jumping out the car." Joey said. "You'd rather kill yourself than speak to your ex?" I asked him. "No. I'm scared, Emma!" Joey exclaimed. "No, you're not. I'll be there with you, so you'll be fine." I said. "Fine." He replied and looked out the window.
We reached Loren's house after about 10 minutes and I commanded, "Joey. Go. Go out and knock on her door." He stared at me. "Go!" I repeated. He nodded and took a deep breath. Just then, someone opened the door to Loren's house. And out came Loren and Mark. Joey sat there in utter shock and I could tell he was so upset and hurt.
