"What am I supposed to do?" I ask Noah as I pace around the bedroom.

He stops me as I pass him sitting on the bed, pulling me in to stand in between his legs. "You follow my instructions."

I look down at him as he pulls me down to sit onto his lap, "I can tell you're scared, but I promise you'll be fine," he whispers.

"What if he actually kills me?" My voice cracks at the end of the sentence.

He pulls my long fringe out of my face and tucks it neatly behind my ear, "I'm not going to let anything happen to you," he soothes, "I need you and you need me, you are safe with me."

I do need him, I know he needs me. But the fact that my father has decided to almost set his own bounty on me and pay for men to try and scare me with bullets absolutely breaks the trust that I have with anyone and everyone.
He was supposed to protect me, I'm his daughter. His only child. Why would he want to kill me?

He places a kiss on my forehead as a knock sounds on the door, "come in," he calls his head now buried in my neck.

I hear the beep of the door clicking open, "time to get ready," Sonic says as he glares at me sitting on Noah's lap, "quit being all lovey dovey, this is serious!" He says sounding frustrated when me and Noah don't move.

"Okay, geez don't get your panties in a twist," Noah fires back, grabbing my hand and pushing my up by my hips.
Something tells me these two have history, and not a good one. Whenever the two of them are in a room together the atmosphere just feels hostile and uncomfortable.

Sonic scowls at him, flaring his nostrils making him almost look like an aggressive animal. Maybe a wolf?

An awkward silence surrounds us as we walk through the corridors, Noah's hand never leaving mine as we let Sonic lead the way. We eventually get to the room that stores all the uniforms, but this time there are two teams ready to prepare us.

A woman with short black hair and dressed in a black and white dress with stilettos pries me away from Noah's side so that she can sort out my appearance. "Hi Lacey, my name is Miranda and I am going to be preparing you," she smiles warmly.

"How do you know my name? And where are you taking me?" I ask turning my head around to look at Noah as she drags me away to the other side of the room.

She smiles again trying to make me feel comfortable. So far she isn't succeeding. And sits me down on a black leather stool, to the right there is an opening to which I presume leads to another room maybe a massive wardrobe? "everyone was notified about you when you first arrived, and nowhere," she says popping her head back around he corner to look at me, "just sorting out your outfit.

My outfit? What's there to change? Does she plan on putting me in a glamorous dress to go and meet my possible death? Seriously, I just want to get it done with.

She pulls out a pair of black skinny jeans, black and white striped top and a black leather jacket, along with a pair of converse. "This should do nicely," she smiles holding it up against me.

She walks me to the left and shows me a changing room, I change into the clothes but what surprises me the most is how she knew my sizes. Like how?

Once I'm finished I step back outside and see a case placed on the table, "here," she says passing me a see-through plastic thing.

"What is this?" I say examining the item in my hand.

"It's an earpiece," she grins, "so we can communicate to you."

Miranda watches as I push the device into my ear, she then hands me over a circular black pad, I stare at it blankly. What the hell is this?
