*Lacey's POV*
I wake up with a start, sitting bolt upright in the bed. Sweat drips from my forehead and so the cool breeze coming in from the open balcony doors is much appreciated.
"Good morning," Noah says startling me, "sleep well?"
Harley jumps up on the bed and lays beside me, "I did up until a moment ago, how long have you been gone?"
He pulls a black shirt over his head a staple part of the uniform, "only for about twenty minutes, I took a shower."
I look down at the duvet and awkwardly play with the sheets, "I don't like it when you leave and I sleep alone," I murmur.
He walks over to me, resting my face in the palms of his hands, "it won't happen again," he pauses realising that my skin is drenched with sweat, "did you have a nightmare?"
I look at the wall not being able to meet his gaze, "maybe," I mumble.
He sighs, "baby, it's okay," he pulls me into his chest as he sits beside me.
"It's not okay," I can feel the tears in my eyes threatening to spill, "I just want our baby back, he's supposed to here....with us."
"That's all I want to," his voice sounds shaky, "I want our baby back in our arms."
I pull back wiping the fallen tears from my cheeks, Noah still holds me looking down at me, a look of concern covers his face.
"We'll find him!" I say meaning each and every word, "we're going to get our baby back!"
He intertwines our fingers and I tilt my head up towards his as he leans down, our lips meet and we melt into one another for a couple of seconds all our troubles and worries become distant.
Too bad it can't stay like this. Too bad we have the troubles and worries at all. Why did he have to do this? Why take our son?
*************************************
We go to the main meeting room downstairs, I'm wearing uniform just like everyone else except Mike and Noah have made me wear padding under my clothes to protect the baby. I agree with them, it's the right thing to do as I've already lost one of my babies I don't want to lose my second. However it's highly uncomfortable especially on a growing bump.I re-adjust the jacket that I'm wearing around my waist, as I feel slightly self-conscious at the thought of showing my bump. I want it to stay hidden, I guess thats kind of impossible though.
"Right," Mike says interrupting my thoughts, "Lacey, where do you think Thomas will be hiding? You're our best chance."
One of the only places that I can think of is the abandoned warehouse about a half hour drive from here, my dad brought the land and mad it his own little project. He would go there and hide out for a while if he had a fight with my mother or just wanted quiet for a while, it was like what some people may call a 'man cave', although he'd never actually done much with it in the end, claiming that he had too much 'work' to be doing.
"There's an abandoned warehouse," I clear my throat mid sentence, "it's about a half hour drive from here, I have the address."
"Roll out!" Mike commands and instantly the guards standing behind him leave the room and head outside.
We follow behind them, Mike hands me a device as we walk and asks for me to type in the location. We then get into a black jeep and make the thirty minute drive to the warehouse.
Once there I feel a little disorientated, it's been years since I've been here. I had only ever been here a few times, my dad claiming that it was no place for a little girl. The car was also going at what felt like over a hundred miles an hour, and so I'm a little uneasy on my feet as I get out.
