Phantasm

Chapter 2

Andy was fuming in the elevator and when it got back to the main level she saw the Avengers still standing there. She pushed past them and looked at the handles to the door, still broken.

"So why are you here? I mean how are you here?" Natasha asked when she knew Andy realized she was stuck in here. Andy turned around and looked at them. 

Andy sighed and took a deep breath before explaining what happened, again. "You can not get mad at Bruce." She finished with and they just nodded without saying anything.

"We all understand wanting to get off the grid. We're not mad at him." Steve said and she sighed with relief.

"I wish Clint would understood that." She mumbled as the stair door opened and Bruce and Bucky walked out. She smiled at them and they nodded at her.

Andy knew that Clint needed time to cool down and process that she was alive and breathing. She just thought he would fight for her just a little bit more instead of getting angry, then loving, and then angry again. After all she is alive and one of the first things he did was make her even more angry.

"So how are you in New York?" Tony asked and she looked at him.

"I took a plane, I was actually really surprised that they fell for my fake passport." Andy said and shrugged a little. "But there's a girl I've been tracking, she's also the girl that bent the door handles in a weird way so I couldn't get out of the tower." She explained and everyone nodded a little bit. She wasn't happy with the other girl and was very tired of things like this. 

"Who's this girl you've been tracking?" Natasha asked and Andy looked at them.

"I wasn't the only one who survived the battle." She said and Bruce shook his head.

"Do not tell me that bitch made it out." Bruce said and everyone was surprised that he just swore.

Andy looked at him and nodded sadly. "Yeah, Alex made it out. I don't know how she made it but she did. I've been trying to find her but it's pretty hard. I found her in New York and I confronted her in a street fight like how I met Bucky. We ran while fighting and now I'm here." Andy explained.

"Okay, well we now have someone else to find. Is she still with Hydra or the Red Room?" Bucky asked and Andy shrugged a little.

"I honestly don't know. I haven't had a moment to sit down and talk to her about it." Andy snapped and then sighed. "Sorry...I just...I just...I don't know." She said and ran a hand through her hair as she stumbled to the couch across from the reception desk.

Bruce rushed over to her and she pushed him back. "I need air, that's all." She whispered and stumbled over to the door again, trying to get out of the tower.

Bucky walked behind her, making sure to catch her if she fell. "Andy...have you been having nightmares, or hallucinations?" He asked her and helped her back to the couch to rest for a minute.

Andy nodded a little. "Just the nightmares, but I've been having nightmares all my life." She said softly catching her breath. "No, I don't have PTSD." She said and looked up at him.

Tony walked out and kneeled next to her. "It may not be PTSD, but you still could have anxiety attacks, flashbacks to the moment you died and the fight." Tony said gently.

Andy's eyes glazed over as she looked at Tony. She looked at him for a minute before getting up quickly and racing to the elevator. She pressed the button and luckily the doors slid open right away. 

Tony and Bucky ran after her but the doors already closed. "Fuck, where is she going?" Tony asked, but no one knew. 

Meanwhile in the elevator Andy covered her ears and sat down in the corner of the elevator and screamed. 

She saw Alex aiming her gun to Clint. An arrow going through Alex's stomach and Alex's gun firing.

Andy opened her eyes and saw that the door was open and again, she screamed.

Clint jumped and looked at her. "Sorry...I'll take another elevator." He said softly and she shook her head a little.

"N-N-No, p-please just h-hold me." She whispered and he nodded a little.

He walked over to her and sat next to her.

Clint put an arm around her and she leaned into his side as she cried.

He held her silently as she cried.

She knew it wasn't like her but she had many panic attacks when she thought of anything to do with her "death".

Clint held her until she quieted down and she took a deep breath.

"I um, I'm sorry." She said softly and pushed him out and closed the elevator doors.

Clint groaned and hit the elevator doors. "Come on!" He said and leaned against the doors.

She went up to the roof and looked around. She walked around and finally laid down to just look at the sky and to relax.

Since the fight she had changed so much. She can fight the same, still has her powers but she was more vulnerable.

Andy has been having panic attacks when she saw or thought of anything to do with the battle. It had been increasingly hard on her especially because she couldn't tell anyone she was back and the team were the only ones that now know that she was back.

She sighed as she relaxed little by little.

While she was in deep in thought she heard the elevator door open so she zipped up and hid behind a heater.

She poked her head out a little but then she hid again because Bruce was up on the roof and she didn't want to get him further involved.

"Andy, please just come out. We want to help." He called and she stood up.

"What makes you think you can help me? Do you know how much of a mess I am now? I'm not even living anymore. I'm a ghost now." She said and backed away as Bruce walked towards her.

"Andy, we can help you. Your nightmares are normal, you died. This is completely normal. Just come back down and talk through some things with us. We can help you with Alex too." He said but she shook her head.

"Bruce, you can't help me." She said and backed up a bit.

As he stepped towards her, she backed up and hit the edge of the roof.

Her eyes went wide as she tried to regain her balance but she fell down towards the pavement.
