Andy woke up from her coma a month after her outburst. Clint had stayed by her side everyday. The day she woke up, Clint had taken a break and was getting food with Natasha. She had threatened bodily harm if he didn't get some real food with her.
Bruce was checking her vitals once again when she started to move her head a little bit. He paused and waited for her eyes to flutter open. Andy slowly opened her eyes and winced at the bright lights of the room.
"Whe-Where am I?" Andy hoarsely said and Bruce breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Hey, you're at the Avengers facility. You've been in a coma for a month. How are you feeling Andy?" Bruce asked as he sat down next to her.
Andy blinked a few times before looking over to Bruce. "How am I still alive? I-I thought I..." Andy trailed off and looked at the empty chairs around the room.
"You were able to stand up and kill the woman who was in charge of the operation. Unfortunately she stabbed you and all of your injuries were pretty severe. They hurt you pretty badly, but you know that. After you killed that woman when she said Bucky's name, you fell unconscious again and Clint carried you to the jet. They saved your life. Do you remember any of this?" Bruce rambled and Andy tried to think back.
"The last thing I remember is giving in. Alex shot me and I gave in. I should've died." Andy whispered, not meeting his eyes. There was nothing to change the fact that she gave into the torture. You don't give in, that's the first thing that they teach you, and she failed.
"Hey, they were torturing you. Everyone would've done the same thing." Bruce said and looked down to his phone to send a text to Clint.
"You know that's not true. They would've died." Andy said whispered and looked at her hands.
Clint laughed a little at a joke Natasha had just told. Natasha had made him get some food again.
Clint felt his phone vibrate. He pulled it out of is pocket and read the text.
"She's awake." Was all that Clint managed to say before launching out of his chair and running towards her room. He breathed a sigh of relief when he slid to a halt outside of the window. He saw her sitting up, talking softly with Bruce.
Bruce looked over at Clint and nodded a little before turning back towards Andy. Clint slowly walked towards the door and opened it.
"Andy...?" Clint asked softly causing her to look up and meet his eyes.
Andy's eyes welled up in tears again. "I'm so sorry." She whispered and Clint rushed to her side.
"Andy no, you have nothing to be sorry for." Clint reassured as he held her hands gently. "You did what any of us would do. Their level of torture is more than any of us can imagine." He said as he kissed her hands gently.
Clint was just so happy that Andy was alive, he had been worrying for months and she was finally awake and he was almost bursting with happiness and relief.
Andy looked up at him. "I'm sorry for worrying you. I'm just so sorry" She added.
Clint chuckled gently and shook his head. "Don't you worry about it. I'm just glad you're okay." He said before kissing her head gently. "I might have been worried but Bruce kept me updated and he made sure to tell me that you were stable and okay every time I asked." He added and smiled over at Bruce.
"She'll need to stay here for a month just so she can heal fully and we can monitor her to make sure she's okay." Bruce said and smiled gently at the two of them.
"Andy?" Natasha asked from the door making the three of them to turn towards the door.
"Nat!" Andy said smiling. She reached out a hand towards the red head. "I'm okay. Are they really dead?" She added as Natasha took her hand.
Natasha smiled and nodded. "They're gone and you're here." She said with tears in her eyes. "We did it." She added, feeling a freedom she hasn't felt in a long time.
Andy looked at Clint and smiled a little. "I can't believe I did it." She said.
"You did it." Clint said and kissed her hand gently. "We're free of them and we can finally be happy and not think Alex is going to turn around the corner and kill one of us." Clint said while laughing gently and Andy giggled gently.
"Finally!" Natasha piped in making them laugh. "Sorry, it just took long enough." She added when Clint gave her a look.
"The rest of the team would like to see you, is that okay?" Bruce asked and Andy nodded.
"I'm ready to see them." Andy said, sitting up a little bit more, preparing for the team.
Bruce nodded towards the window and the rest of the team comes spilling into the room, basically falling over each other.
"Andy!" They all yelled causing her to laugh.
"Hey everyone." Andy said to all of them.
Everyone took a turn to hug her, even Tony.
"I know that we haven't been the best of friends but I'm glad you're alive." Tony said making Andy smile.
"Thanks Tiny Tony." Andy said with a smirk causing Tony to put a hand over his heart and feign hurt.
"Is that the nickname you gave me?!" Tony asked and the team laughed as Andy nodded.
"I just wanted to say thank you for saving me, all of you." Andy said and squeezed Clint's hand a little bit making him smile.
"We're all just happy you're alive." Clint said making Andy look at him.
"Well so am I." Andy said softly pulling Clint closer to her, making him laugh.
Andy smiled as she pressed her lips against his. The room cleared out very quickly but not quietly. Most of the team groaned and made comments like "Get a room" or "Why do you have to do that when we're still here?!" The team gave them a private moment anyway.
They pulled away after a minute and Clint gently placed his forehead against hers.
"I love you Spectra." Clint whispered causing Andy to blush lightly.
"I love you too Hawkeye." Andy replied.
The two of them were finally happy and ready to take on anything else that came at them. After all, they had been through worst of it, right?
