I ran to the balcony to see why Shawn was yelling at Hayes. Hayes had his arm around Hazel's waist and was leaning in to kiss her until he heard Shawn's voice.
"I am going to murder that boy the moment he comes upstairs."
"No Shawn you won't! You can't control your sister's love life."
"Watch me." He said as he stormed out of my room. I chased after him to try and keep him from doing anything stupid.
"Benjamin Hayes Grier!" Hayes's eyes grew really big with fright. I ran to grab Shawn's arm that had a clenched fist. He yanked it out of my grasp and punched Hayes.
"What the hell!" Hayes yelled.
"Don't touch my sister!"
"Shawn, I can handle myself. I don't need a brother that is too overprotective!"
I could see Shawn clench his teeth as he turned to go to his room. I followed him trying to calm him down.
"Shawn-" I was cut off as he slammed the door in my face. "YOU NEED TO CHILL YOUR BEANS!"
"GO AWAY SAM!"
"FINE!" I yelled as I ran to my room.
"Sam?" Hazel said from outside my door," Can I come in?"
"Sure."
"Shawn really overreacted!"
"I know. I am so sorry! I tried to stop him but he wouldn't let me. How is Hayes?"
"His jaw is starting to bruise but other than that he is ok."
"I think we should prank Shawn."
"Sam you are a genius! Even though that was totally random. I am so glad you are my best friend!"
I smiled as I thought of a really funny/scary prank.
"So what are you thinking?"
"We are going to do a Walking Dead prank!"
