Sam's POV
Pain woke me up when the sun hadn't even risen. I grabbed my phone and checked the time,
3:42 A.M.
Great. Yesterday came back, making me remember what I had to do. I had to leave. I limped my way down the stairs and into the kitchen. I saw our plane tickets for our flight home in 3 days. I grabbed mine and all of my luggage. Calling an Uber was easy, but the getting to where the house, was hard. It took almost an hour.
The car pulled up and a girl stepped out. She was around her early 30s and really sweet. The drive was really quite and seemed quite short. I thanked the girl and left the car. I got insanely nervous as I had to change my ticket. It took awhile to finally convince the worker to give me a new ticket for a flight at 7 to Quebec. Once I got to the terminal, I pulled my phone out. It was 6:06 so I still had about 1 hour left. I checked on my instagram and saw that I was tagged in many photos. I couldn't handle some of the comments so I decided to take down my account. Remembering that I needed to read my book, I pulled it out. The book was Me Before You, and so far it has been so good. The characters were quirky and so sweet.
I read about 54 pages before the passengers were called to aboard the flight. I packed up my backpack and wrapped my hand around the handle of my suitcase. I walked slowly towards the "tunnel" because I was a little nervous. All I could think about was how much pain I was in and how sad I was to do this.
"Sam!" Of course, it was Shawn. I turned around and saw him running. I didn't know what to do so I walked towards the plane. "Sam, wait!"
I froze in place and didn't move, couldn't move. I felt a hand wrap around my wrist and pulled me around. I couldn't look at him in the eyes. He place his other hand under my chin and pushed my chin up so I had to look at him.
"Why are you leaving?"
"I have to go home."
"That is not good enough."
"I don't have to tell you anything else except that I just have to, ok?"
"Please don't leave." He pleaded, the world seemed to crumble around me.
"I have to go, and you need to let me."
The grip on my wrist tightened as I tried to pull it out. Once he let go, I walked towards the plane.
"Sam please." I looked towards him one last time and walked onto the plane. "Stay."
"Goodbye Shawn." Tears streamed down my face as I walked onto the plane. I found my seat quickly and curled up into a ball. I hated this. I hated not being able to be with Shawn without him getting hurt, but I couldn't be the reason that his career ended. I took a few deep breaths and closed my eyes, falling asleep quickly.

"Honey, you need to wake up. The flight landed 10 minutes ago." I rubbed my eyes and slowly sat up. Being the last one on the plane, I needed to leave soon. I grabbed my suitcase and left. For some reason, I loved being the airport and flying, it made going on trips fun. I checked my phone:
5 missed calls from Hazel
17 missed calls from Shawn
and a lot of text messages.
I felt my heart breaking all over again and turned my phone off. As I left the airport, I realized something. I had to avoid Shawn even in my own house, school, and basically every place in Quebec. I also had to delete his contact so I wouldn't be tempted.
"ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!" I screamed at my phone and threw it on the street. A car drove over it so now it was officially gone. All my photos from the trip were gone. I guess that is a good thing, right?

Shawn's POV from the Morning
I heard the door slam and jumped out of bed.
"Sam." I ran to her room and she was gone. Her stuff was gone too. My phone didn't have any texts or calls. I went downstairs and her plane ticket was gone. I saw a note on the table that said to Shawn in her insanely neat handwriting.
Shawn-
Sorry to leave so sudden. I can't explain. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.
Sam.
I grabbed the keys to the rental and threw the door open. I was going after Sam.
Once I got to the airport, it took awhile for me to explain what was going on and then they finally let me go after Sam. I saw her pulling her suitcase into the "tunnel">
"Sam!" She turned around her face went pale. "Sam, wait!" She froze in place and didn't move.
"Why are you leaving?"
"I have to go home."
"That is not good enough."
"I don't have to tell you anything else except that I just have to, ok?"
"Please don't leave."
"I have to go, and you need to let me."
I tightened my grip on her wrist as she tried to pull it out. I could tell that she wanted me to let go so eventually I did.
"Sam please."She looked at me and started walking on to plane. "Stay."
"Goodbye Shawn." As she walked away, I fell to the ground. I couldn't control what was going on. I felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest and tore in half and then shoved back in. I was also angry at myself for letting this happen. I ran up to one of the ladies checking tickets.
"Are there any tickets left?"
"No, I am sorry. Should I book you a ticket for the next flight?"
"I need one for this please! I love that girl and she is leaving me and won't tell me why.I need to go after her!"
"Sorry hun, but you will have to go after her tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?!"
"Yes, all the flights today are booked. Sorry."
I ran away and into the tunnel. I heard the lady yell after me but I still ran. Once I got to the plane, the door was closed. I banged my fists against it but no one heard me. Security came and dragged away from the plane and out of the airport.
"Sam," I whispered.
