•Chapter 12•

In front of us was stone wall. An opening was about ten feet off the ground. Vines covered the walls around it and there was a tree growing so that branch had grown right in front of the entrance.
"How are we gonna get up there?" I asked.
"I think we'll have to hookshot. I don't know if this can hold both of our weights combined though....." Link mused. "What do you think, Navi?"
"I think it'll hold both of your weights. I mean, you're not that fat."
"Thanks." I muttered.
Link suddenly wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close. "Hold on."
"We're not warping again, right?"
"No. Don't worry." He pointed the hookshot at the tree branch and pushed the button. Both of us were jerked off of our feet and pulled toward the branch, extremely quickly. I cried out. Soon, I was clinging to Link and we were both on the tree branch.
"That was so much fun!" Link yelled.
"Yeah for you. You were controlling it."
Link laughed. He jumped into the entrance below. I followed him.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yep."
"Your first temple."
"I'm ready."
He grabbed my hand and squeezed it reassuringly. We began to walk down the dark tunnel.

The tunnel opened up into a large courtyard with two trees on either side. A door was on the other side. Vines covered everything.
"Get your bow out." Link whispered. I complied.
"Link," Navi whispered, "I can sense a great evil coming from the temple. You have to be careful."
"Aren't I always?"
"No."
"I've got delicate cargo. I'll be extra careful."
I looked up. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing. Let's go." He walked towards the door and I followed. The door opened with a creak. A short, candle-lit hallway led to another door. Everything was covered in dust. The candles had long since gone out.
We walked down the hallway. I was beginning to get impatient with how slow Link was going, so I sped up. That was a mistake.
A giant, white spider fell down from the ceiling, whacking me so hard, I fell backwards. "Oh my god!!" I screamed.
"A skulltula." Link muttered.
"That's huge!" I screamed. The thing was the size of my upper torso. I scrambled up and stood behind Link, taking quick breaths.
Link simply pointed the hookshot at it and stabbed the skulltula with it. It made a hissing sound as it fell to the ground, green goo gushing from the wound. It disappeared into dust.
"What? Where did it go?"
"Monsters like that don't have souls." Navi explained. "Therefore, they don't leave a body when they die."
I nodded. Link walked forward and opened the door. There was a huge chamber right in front of us. Four torches were lit around a wooden elevator-looking device.
