'Whatever you say'. I snarled as I left the room. I was pissed. I'd always hated men and their alpha male syndrome. What makes him better than me? I was born on top. Who is he to belittle me!
I made my way to my chambers. I'm sure the whole building felt my doors shut.

'What's the problem?' A small boy of about ten scurried to my side. Don't get it wrong. That small boy is Jack, my room keeper.

'Get away from me you little imp.' I always hated the way he would trail me when I was in.

'I I'm sorry', he stuttered.

'You may leave us now', Olaf's voice echoed as he walked in. Jack immediately scurried out.

'The door is shut so you knock.' I screamed.

'And the boy is here to tend to your room, not get mistreated.'

'If you're here to lecture me, make it quick. I won't be here long. '
'You need to learn patience. 'Olaf began.

'No! I am my own woman. No one or nothing tells me what to do. If you're here to change my mind about that, find your way back in time and start from scratch.'

'Look. You're upset. I get that. But getting yourself killed is not the solution. '

'I can take him on head first. '

'Yes. We all can. Its how long you last alive after that, that's the real question.'

'Ugghh... You sicken me with your cowardice. '
I need some air. And I left the room. I needed to get away from all that. I walked down my usual path. Down the creeks, and into the valley. Or what was left of it. A twig snapped behind me. I spun, bit no one was there. Great. This old trick. Now I have to follow the sounds. I walked off my path and into the trees to find a man in a multicoloured cloak leaning against the trees. His hood was up to hide his face.

'What do you want? 'The confrontation clear in my voice.

'Not an argument, that's for sure. He answered.' He sure sounded cocky. 'Now love, we want the same thing.' He continued.

'I'm pretty sure we don't.'

'You want in on the action, he began, you want the thrill of a good battle, you want to get on top. You want to win.' He smirked.

'So? Who are you anyways? '

'I'm the guy that's going to make that happen. But for a small price. '

'What price? '

'In due time you'll see. Let's focus on now. Now, I need to know if you're in. '

'What do you have in mind?'
