Ohio sat in her room, again she couldn't sleep. She had music blasting into her ears and her hearing was fading. She saw it as treatment from her fears. She layed back on her bed, listening to her favorite songs while reading online stories. She had three big fears. Silence, being alone, and darkness. She never let anyone know because she feared being made fun of. She had gotten less sleep each night. Tonight was different among all nights, because one of the freelancers felt concerned when they noticed. Ohio turned on her side and mumbled along with the song. Of course, she didn't notice the door opening and closing because of her loud headphones. Maine had entered her room to see if his suspicions were correct. Sure enough, Ohio sat with blaring music in her ears. He approached the bed and heard her mumbling. Ohio felt the bed sink next to her. She turned over and saw Maine sitting on her bed looking at her with concern. She turned off her music and took off her headphones. "Yes?" Maine sighed, "Why can't you sleep at night?" Ohio looked away and refused to answer. "I asked a question Ohio. Ohio looked down, still refusing to look at him and mumbled. "Hm?" Ohio slope loud enough for him to hear, "I'm scared." He cockles his head, "Of what?" "Darkness, Quiet, and being alone..." He thought for a moment. "So, that's why you can't sleep?" She looked ashamed, "Silly, I know...But I can't help it.." Maine wrapped an arm around her and held her close, "I'll stay with you as long as it takes.." Ohio smiles to herself. "I'd love that." He layer down and Ohio pressed her back to his chest. He put his arm loosely around her and smiled. She sighed happily and slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep. Maine waited for her to fall asleep, then fell asleep himself. From that day forth, he had agreed to help her with her fear, because that is what she fears most. Being alone.
