"One last thing before I go"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He always treated you like his princess, his queen, his rose without thorns, and you fell for his act of charm and playful banter. You had stayed by his side, and you had supported him throughout your time on Chorus. You felt like you knew him, that you knew him quite well. You spent every night together, embraced in a flair of passion. Your body would shiver as he left kisses down your stomach and chest, up your neck and behind your ear. He'd nibble slightly on your shoulder and he'd leave his mark on your neck.
Every morning, he would wake you with a kiss on the neck and a husky tone, telling you 'rise and shine, princess'. You two were almost always together, so of course you suspected nothing of him. Sometimes he'd flirt with the other females and you'd always be paranoid he was with someone else, but you had faith in him, something not many others could have for him. Felix was one for the money, but for you, you believed he would do anything. That was until you caught him with another.
You hummed happily, today was Felix's day off from training recruits. You enjoyed today mostly because he would spend time with you, maybe watch a movie and lie around doing nothing. You loved to lie against his masculine chest and trace some of the scars on his arm and chest. He'd tell you the stories if you'd ask. You loved to hear his stories.
You stopped in front of his room door and went to grab the door knob, but what stopped you was the sound of a female saying his name in a rather questionable manner. After listening and hearing the female again you finally opened the door and spoke softly.
"Felix?" you called.
There came a thud from the bedroom and then a male voice calling out, "I'll be right there, (Y/N)!"
Moments later, Felix traipsed from the bedroom into the main room, shirtless and in slacks that were slipping off his waist because they weren't buckled. You shook your head slowly and frowned at him, reaching for the door behind you. Before anything was said, a brunette female wrapped in white bedsheets walked out of the room.
"Felix, what's the," she stopped and looked at you, "Oh."
Tears pricked your eyes and you bit your bottom lip, trying to find the right words to say. Felix glared at the female and started toward you.
"(Y/N), it's not what you're thinking. I know it looks bad, but trust me, I'd never," he tried to explain.
You muttered softly, tears proceeding to roll down your cheeks. Felix stopped in front of you, using one of his hands to keep his pants above his waist.
"What was that?" he questioned.
"I hope she has as much faith in you as I did," you said softly before turning and leaving, shutting the door gently.
He didn't try to stop you, he knew what he had done, and he sighed. He told the brunette to leave. He glanced around the room, grabbing everything that reminded him of you and smashed it. He threw, bashed, stomped, trashed everything. When his work was finished he sat in the middle of his room and stayed on his knees. He felt nothing more than the desire to earn his paycheck, he didn't feel anything. Just greed.
It'd been so long, you had almost forgotten about what had happened between you and Felix. Though you couldn't forget because you two did work together. It was inevitable. Felix, over time, saw what you meant. No one really had believed in him when you left. When he lost your support he saw it clear as day.
A battle had broken out and you were set to defend one of the New Republic's quarters. Felix watched as you hitched a ride out of the base camp on the back of a warthog. You weren't the best soldier, but you weren't the worst. Felix, previously, had tried to gain your trust back. You could only deny him that one simple request, you had no desire to give this man aything anymore. He was now only a greedy and snarky person.
Your squad underwent heavy fire. When the news came back that over half the recruits had been shot and killed, Felix searched for you. Deep down he knew, but he wanted confirmation. When he saw your armor being carried on a stretcher, his greatest fear came true.
He stopped and stared blankly, he lost you because of himself. He pushed you away and he lost sight. Only now, you were gone for good. Faith and everything you put in him was broken and thrown away like an old blanket. From then on, he took his anger and bottled it up. he proceeded to act like the nonchalant mercenary everyone knew him as.
He now stood surrounded by the reds and blues, a grenade at his feet and the fear of death ridden all over his mind. When the grenade exploded, that was it. His mind slowed time, thinking about how different things would've been if he could've had a family with you. Now he became the bad guy with a sore heart.
The last thing on his mind before his demise was you.
