Ch.13

I woke on my own only a few short hours later. Honestly there was an ache to my body that I wasn't used to. The first time we did it, it was pure appeal. The ache wasn't nearly as strong. This time left over feelings of warmth and giddiness surrounded me and but I felt a need. A missing piece to the puzzle. That puzzle was currently off in the mountains with a human and a shapeshifting wolf, battling him for the humans affections. Little did that wolf know, the battle was over. At least in the puzzles mind. I'm not even sure if he told her yet or if he is waiting for a good moment. I'd understand that. This time it wasn't just a confession of what he did but how he felt.

I worried about her reaction. He said she'd be alright but I must be sure. I'll talk to her myself later on, when this is all over.

Oh Bella, oh sweet sweet Bella. I apologize in advance for any pain or loss you feel when you are told. But it cannot be stopped any longer, it cannot be helped. What's done is done. I rubbed my face and realized what a beautiful day it was. Perfect weather. The others will be fighting in this glorious weather. The door was left open so I once again hear the sounds of birds and croaks of frogs. I smell the morning mist and feel it as it seeped into the open room. It felt like water floating through the air and on my skin.

I sighed. I wasn't fighting here. I'm fighting high in the mountains with Edward and Seth. Jacob as second on command with Sam he had to fight with the others. It was snowing yesterday up their and I bet it still was.

I stood and felt strange. My knees were weak and it was odd to walk. My steps were light and quick, because I felt shaky but it was a brilliant and triumphant feeling. I felt... bright... happy. My mind had no words but pictures, flashes. Flashes that made me feel reminisce of his touch. I breathed in deeply, my heart fluttering as I stretched. I redressed and went into my bedroom and smiled at seeing Teddy still sleeping. The alarm clock next to my bed said 11:30. I was leaving at twelve. I have to talk to Teddy.

I crawled into my bed and shook his small shoulder. The five year old stirred and he turned his form toward me.

"Morin' Arry."

I laughed because his voice was slurred from sleep.

"Good morning Teddy." I sighed."Can I talk to you about something?"

He nodded.

"I have to leave, in a half hour. I have to go fight like you knew I was. But Teddy their is a possibility I might not come back."

He snapped out of sleep mode and sat up, I sat with him.

"What do you mean, Harry?"

I took his shoulder.

"The people I have to fight are very bad and very powerful. The "Newbs" as you called them. Teddy, if I don't come back I want you to stay here. Tell the wizards that come that I "GAVE" you to Cullen's to raise."

He just sat and nodded.

He understood. I pulled him in my grip and hugged him close to me. The small boy hugged back just as tight. I felt a wetness on my collarbone and I lost it. Burying my face on top of his head, I silently released my tears.

I can't! I can't die here. I can't leave him. I can't do this to him, I thought as I cried. I want to watch him grow and get married and have children. I can't do that if I'm dead.

"I love you, Teddy. I just want you safe."

I felt him nod on my shoulder.

"I love you too, Harry. Fight. Keep Bella safe."
