Epilogue
It's been ten years since Harry said he was staying with us. I remember how funny it was when he realized we were all watching him. He's still here. Teddy is fifteen. He's actually about to go into his fifth year at Hogwarts. I've seen pictures of his mother and father. Harry tells me he acts like his mother and looks like his father. This is true. But he likes to have Harry's eyes and my hair. On his school his school papers I laugh because he writes "Edward Remus "Teddy" Lupin-Potter- Cullen." His whole name. He only does this on important papers, like his county test when he was in regular school. At Hogwarts people call him Teddy.
Harry and I have been legally married for eight years, just before the birth of Bella and Jacob's daughter Sarah. It's early August. Tonight is night of our marriage only eight years ago. Teddy is joining us to the restaurant. A small local place near the zoo. On the way their I hold his hand. We hear Teddy's music blasting from his headphones. He has a crush on a girl in a Hufflepuff girl in his year. He is in Griffindor like his god-father was.
He has to lie. He lives with us because Harry gave him in our care before he "died." He's ok with that because he knows it will keep Harry safe.
"Teddy.." Harry asked him.
Not hearing him, Harry turned in his seat.
"Teddy."
Teddy took out an earbud and looked at him.
"Can you turn that down, son. We can here it. Plus it's bad for your ears."
Teddy sighed.
"Alright." He paused. "But you know that no matter how low I turn it, you two will still here it."
I smirked.
"I know Teddy." Harry agreed.
He patted the boy's leg. He turned around we heard Teddy's music lower. Teddy grew into an American accent being with us for so long. But he goes back and forth. It's funny sometimes. I look at Harry and he looks at me. We smile. I take his fingers again and look into his eyes. His eyes once green are now golden with nine years of them. He hated when he had his red eyes.
Pulling into the parking lot of the small restaurant, we exited the car. We were seated and waited by a girl named Laura. She flirted with Teddy quite a bit but he ignored her. To us it was quite funny. The two of us talked and laughed a little. Teddy joined in on the jokes and laughter. He ordered a big dinner and we fondly watched him eat. He was used to that since he is the only human in the house and has been for ten years.
Upon leaving the restaurant and heading back to the car. I saw Harry stop in his tracks. A look of quick fear disappeared to that of nostalgia. He was debating on whether he should go up and talk to them. I was not sure who "they" were.
"Harry?!" I heard from a way off.
They called to him. A female. A female was crunchy bushy hair forced into a bun, with brown eyes. Next to her was a tall man with red hair and brown eyes also. The two were obviously married. My Harry made no movement toward the people but the woman came running over and threw her arms around him. The red haired man joined from the other side. Harry finally gave in to hug the two people.
"Oh Harry! What are you doing? The ministry fed these lies that you had been killed. Why are you wearing contacts Harry? They are bad for your eyes. Oh!! I don't care."
She hugged him again.
"Hey 'Mione."
"We never believed the papers, Harry. Promise." Said the red haired man.
