I opened the door and there stood a young boy with curly hair and brown eyes.

"Hi ma'am. I'm Benjamin, Jessie's mentor." The young man spoke.

"Why yes come in Benjamin! Jessie is in the backyard waiting for you."

I showed Benjamin to the backyard and couldn't help but notice how much he walked like Kenny. Soon I felt strong arms wrap around me.

"Who's that?" Kenny whispered in my ear. "That's Benjamin, Jessie's mentor". I say turning to Kenny. "Oh that's cool." Kenny pecks my lips.

I focus my attention back on the boys and admire their interaction. Crazy, impossible thoughts run through my mind. I quickly shake me head and began to make lunch.

"So Benjamin how has Jessie been?" Kenny asked. "Sir, he's been cool. He kinds of remind me of myself honestly." Benjamin chuckled.

4 Months Later

Kenny

These last couple of months has been great. I didn't like the idea of Jessie having a mentor but his attitude has improved so much. Today Toni and I are taking the boys to "Sun-N-Fun Lagoon" since Jessie has been begging. We pulled up to Benjamin's house and I honked the horn. Benjamin soon came walking out. I got out and helped him put his stuff in the back and we headed towards the water park.

"Ken wait! I want to meet Benjamin's parents." Toni says. "Ma'am they went out of town on business but I got their approval to be with you guys." Benjamin said. "Oh okay. But when they get back I want to meet them." Toni says putting on her shades.

We had so much fun at the water park. Every now and then I would see Benjamin glancing at Toni. He was looking at her like she reminded him of something. We head back home and get ready for bed.

"Its late Benjamin I think you should stay the night."

"Are you sure I don't want to impose?" Benjamin asked. "No its okay you can sleep in the guest bedroom." Toni says. "AHHH STOPP MAKE IT STOP!" Jessie yelled.

Toni and I quickly jumped out of bed and ran to Jessie's room to see him having a bad dream.

"Baby wake up! Mommy and daddy are here!" Toni said while I shook him. "Mommy I had the worst dream ever." Jessie mumbled. "Its okay we're here now." Toni says. "Mommy could you sing to me?" Jessie asks. "Sure baby." Toni says. "How about some warm milk champ"? "Thanks dad" Jessie replies.

Benjamin

I lay in the bed staring at the ceiling and I think about it the day I had. I was finally about to drift off to sleep when I heard a familiar voice.

"How could an angel break my heart,
Why didn't catch my fallen star,
I wish I didn't wish so hard,
Maybe I'll wish our love apart,
How could an angel break my heart."

I went into the hallway and saw the voice coming from Jessie's room. I looked in to see Mrs. Edmonds singing to him. I turned around smiling and almost ran into Mr. Edmonds.

"What are you doing?" Mr. Edmonds asked. "I was just wondering who was singing."

He looks at me and squints his eyes then walks off with a glass of milk. I head back to bed and go to sleep.

"Have you seen Bentley's bottle?"

"Yeah it's right here."

"Hsisbe dirsj shakier adhd jadh slaoo."

"What's so funny champ?"

"Uh oh!"

"Uh oh what?"

"Noooooooo!"

I quickly sit up in bed covered in sweat. I start thinking about my dream and Mrs. Edmonds voice and Mr. Edmonds saying champ rings a bell. In all my dreams all I see are legs and arms I never see faces which make it hard.

Toni

I was cooking breakfast when Jessie dragged hisself downstairs. Kenny and Benjamin were outside cleaning out the pool.

"Mommy have you noticed that Benjamin looks kind of like Uncle Kevon?" Jessie asks. "No I haven't." I lie.

"Well he does, and when we hang out he reminds me of dad sometimes." Jessie says. "Baby it's just a coincidence."

We eat breakfast together and Benjamin leaves to go home. He seemed eager to leave. I wanted to meet his parents but they were still out of town. He insisted on riding his bike home.

"Come on champ lets go throw the old pig skin around." Kenny says to Jessie.

Kenny and Jessie walked off but I stayed watching Benjamin head down the street. He turned around and smiled noticing me still watching him. He waved then disappeared down the street.
