After Hadley left I decided to call Tyce back. I felt confident now that I could talk to him calmly about what had taken place today without being all sappy and emotional. I supposed there was a time and place for that, and maybe our relationship will be on that level at some point, but I didn't feel like that point was now.

"Hey," he said as he answered my call.

"Hey Tyce," I greeted back.

"What's up? You called me earlier and I couldn't answer but I called as soon as I got a minute," he explained.

"Oh um. I just wanted to talk to you. When do you get home? Would it be alright if I came over?" I asked carefully. I didn't want him to feel obligated or that I was bothering him. Truthfully though, I just wanted to be with him right now. Even if he just hugged me for a moment it would make me feel better.

"Yeah that sounds great. I should be there in about 20 minutes," he replied.

"Okay well I'll see you in a little bit then," I said.

"Alright Grif," he chuckled.

"Bye," I said before hanging up. I sighed and sat back in my seat for a little bit, gripping the steering wheel tightly. I turned the key and fired up the engine, signaling out onto the road before pulling out and making my way towards Tyce's apartment.

A little while later I was knocking on his door. I knew he was home because I took a little bit longer to get there than I thought, and I saw his truck outside. I knocked again, suddenly feeling anxious. With everything going on today I didn't need another reason to be insecure with myself right now.

"Hey," Tyce greeted softly as the door swung inward, his hand still gripping the handle. He waved me inside when I stood there frozen. "What's wrong?" I looked at him for a moment and suddenly felt a lump in my throat. Not wanting to cry anymore my gaze flicked away from him, settling on my feet and I nervously fiddled with my hands. "Hey," Tyce said again, putting his hands on both of my shoulders and forcing me to look at him. He raised his eyebrows slightly, willing me to talk to him, concern written all over his features. I closed my eyes and slowly reopened them, taking a deep breath.

"Um," I said, before trying to strike a perfectly normal pose as if nothing was wrong. "So I came out to my mom today." I tried to sound cheerful and even attempted a small smile but Tyce saw right through it. I could tell by the look on his face.

"And?" He said carefully, watching my reaction closely.

"And, uh....she wouldn't look at me," I replied, my voice catching at the end.

"Griffin-" Tyce started to try to console me, but I kept talking out of fear if I did stop talking I most certainly would fall apart.

"I just, I need to give her time right? I mean she's just thinking about things, that's what she said anyway. I'm probably worrying about it for no reason," I was telling myself more than I was telling him, as if it were my own little pep talk. Tyce nodded slowly as he tried to catch everything I said as I continued to ramble. "It's funny," I said, again attempting a chuckle, "I guess I just start sort of...rambling when I'm unsure of what to say or how to act."

"It's okay," Tyce said softly, smiling warily. I nodded my head and bit my lip as I ran out of things to say.

"I'm a mess Tyce," I finally said after a minute, my face crumpling as my voice wavered.

"Come here," he whispered softly as he pulled me close to him, wrapping his arms around my back. "It'll be alright." He slowly rubbed my back as I buried my face in his shoulder, fighting back any tears that threatened to spill. I had told myself over and over again on the way here that I wasn't going to cry anymore. Seeing Tyce however, made me lose all the strength I had feebly managed to muster.

"I'm okay," I sniffled, my eyes watery, as I pulled back to face him once more. Tyce pulled his phone out of his pocket as I just stood there watching him.

"I've got an idea," he said with a small smile, looking back up at me.

"What?" I said weakly.

"C'mon, let's get some blankets," he replied, turning around and walking down the hallway towards his bedroom. I followed silently. "Since it's evening," Tyce said over his shoulder as we entered the room, "it'll be the perfect time." He walked over to his closet and opened it, pulling out different blankets and handing them to me. Then he returned to the hallway and grabbed various pillows out of the small linen closet, dumping them on the floor. He flashed me a grin.

"I don't understand...." I trailed off, looking from him to the pillows and blankets, then back to him again. He smirked.

"I think I have a couple bean bags in the guest closet," he said. He turned on his heel and hurried down to the guest room. I heard a door open and close. He came back out dragging two decent sized bean bags. One was gray colored and the other one was navy blue. "C'mon!" He waved me on happily. "Let's put this stuff in my truck,"

"In your truck?" I asked, confused. He nodded and walked over to the front door. He picked up both bean bags and I diligently followed behind with the blankets he had handed me.

Once we got to his truck, Tyce stuffed the bean bags in the backseat, and then I handed him the blankets for him to pack back there as well.

"Alright, now we just need to go get all of the pillows and then we'll be set!" He told me. I looked at the backseat of his truck and then back at him.

"What are we doing with all of this? I asked. I was beginning to get an idea of what he was thinking but I didn't want to assume anything. If it was anything like what I had in mind, then he was the cutest guy ever.

"I'm sure you've figured it out," he winked before he headed back inside. I smiled to myself as I followed him. A short while later we had brought out all of the pillows and stuffed them in the backseat. Tyce told me to hop in while he climbed in the drivers side and started the engine. I smiled like an idiot as I climbed in the passenger seat and we headed on our way.

"So...where are we going?" I asked him.

"Someplace," he said without taking his eyes off of the road, a smile playing at his lips. I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Tease," I replied. He laughed. The sun was just about to set as we drove up into the foothills on a small windy road. Tyce rolled down the windows as I looked out the window at the scenery around us.  We pulled off the road on a little dirt pull out and Tyce whipped the truck around to that the back was facing the hillside and the front was facing the road we had just turned off of. He gave me a grin as he killed the engine.

He climbed out and opened the back door, grabbing out some of the blankets and pillows and throwing them into the bed. I opened the door on the opposite side and helped him until nothing was left but the two bean bags. I grabbed the blue one which was closest to me while Tyce grabbed the gray one.

Once we had everything in the bed Tyce put the tailgate down and climbed up. He turned around and offered me his hand. I smiled and took it as I stepped up on the back bumper and he pulled me up into the bed of the truck. We got to work spreading everything out and making it comfortable enough to lay in. Once Tyce was satisfied, he laid down and held out his arms.

"Quick or you're gonna miss it," he said as I laid down next to him, my head rested on his shoulder while his arm went to my waist. "Look," he said, pointing up in the sky. The sun was just starting to set. It was a beautiful series of colors. There were all different shades of orange and red, while the sky above contained blues and purples. It was stunning. There were a couple small clouds that only enhanced all of the colors, making it swirl together as the sun sank lower in the sky.

I snuggled close to Tyce as he threw a light blanket over the two of us as we continued to watch the sunset. We didn't say much, instead focusing on the sunset that we both knew wouldn't last for too much longer.

"Thank you," I said to Tyce as he was looking at the sunset. He turned his head and looked at me, our noses not too far apart.

"Of course," he said softly. He leaned in closer, closing the small gap between us and touched his lips to mine.
