Tyce drove while I rode uncomfortably in the passenger seat. He wouldn't wipe the stupid smirk off of his face the whole way, as if he enjoyed seeing me shifting my weight every so often in discomfort.

"It's really not that funny," I scolded as I moved around on the seat. I looked over at Tyce. His face was red and he was clearly trying to hold back his laughter. I was so close to punching him.

"Asshole," I muttered under my breath.

"Aw it's okay boo boo. It's just a little pain," Tyce mocked, lighting patting my shoulder. I glared at him.

"One," I said sternly, "don't ever call me boo boo. And two, I'm this close to punching you," I said, gesturing with my fingers. He held up a hand in surrender.

"Okay, okay," he replied with a chuckle.

"I'm never having sex again," I huffed, crossing my arms across my chest and frowning. I turned to look out the window.

"Griffin it's not that bad," Tyce told me.

"Easy for you to say," I grumbled without looking at him. I heard a soft chuckle before he quickly caught himself, stifling it.

"It won't always hurt I promise," he said, trying to be encouraging. So far I was unconvinced.

"Do we really need to go to Zaiden's?" I asked. I wanted to whine but then realized that would be childish.

"What do you want me to do tell him your ass hurts from banging too hard?" Tyce chuckled once more. I turned around and shot him a dirty look. That quieted him down again. I sighed loudly.

"I should've taken some medicine or something," I mumbled.

"Do you want me to get you something?" Tyce asked. I didn't realize he heard what I said. I turned to face him, and this time his smirk was gone. It was replaced by a somewhat sad look etched across his features. I suddenly felt really stupid.

"I'm sorry for complaining. I guess it just takes some getting used to," I told him, reaching for his hand and grasping it with my own. He relaxed a little.

"I wish it didn't hurt," Tyce replied, his eyes fixed on the road. I squeezed his hand a little tighter.

"Hey," I said. He glanced at me. "Even if it hurts like hell after the fact, I still would do it all over again, even if I say otherwise." I couldn't help but grin at him. The last thing I wanted was for him to regret what happened. I was just being a little immature about the pain. "You just have to put up with my whining for a little bit," I said, winking at him jokingly. He chuckled.

"I'll still love you even when you whine," he said softly. My heart practically melted and for a moment I completely forgot about my aching ass. I smiled warmly at him.

A little while later we pulled into Zaiden's driveway. There were several cars already parked there including Hadley's. Tyce parked the truck and killed the engine before climbing out quickly. I opened my door and slipped out, making sure to close it behind me. Tyce came around and took my hand in his as we made our way towards the front door.

Before we even reached the steps Zaiden came bounding out the door and rushed over to us. Both Tyce and I regarded him with surprise.

"Uh, hey guys," Zaiden said. He briefly glanced at our interlocked hands before nervously fidgeting with his fingers and looking at both of us.

"Uh..Hi?" Tyce replied with confusion.

"Sorry it's just that...well," Zaiden started, giving us a worried look.

"What is it? What's wrong?" I asked, looking from him to Tyce and then back to him again. Zaiden looked directly at Tyce.

"Alex and Jordan are here," he replied quickly. Tyce set his jaw as he stared off, lost in thought. I turned to him. Zaiden looked apologetic.

"Why did you invite them?" I asked Zaiden with an edge to my voice. He winced a little.

"They asked if they could come," he said, rolling his shoulders a little. I turned to Tyce.

"We don't have to stay if you don't want to," I told him. He shook his head.

"Well I don't want to not hang out just because those guys are here, I just don't want to make it awkward for everyone," he replied. "I mean, I haven't talked to either of them since they up and left when we were camping."

"Sam was the one being an asshole though," Zaiden added.

"Yeah but both Jordan and Alex left with him and didn't say anything to him about how he was acting," Tyce replied.

"Let's not overthink it," I declared. Tyce looked at me. "We should just try to enjoy it and if those two are weird then I guess we can always leave." I tried to sound positive. I figured this was pretty hard for Tyce because he used to be pretty good friends with them and they had kind of abandoned him since he met me.

"You're right," Tyce said, giving my hand a squeeze. "You don't have to worry about us," Tyce said, turning to Zaiden again. "We'll be nice," he winked. Zaiden nodded.

"Well I'm glad you guys are here," Zaiden told us. "And I definitely won't tolerate any shit." I chuckled a little as we followed Zaiden up the front steps and into the house.

Once we stepped over the threshold and the door shut behind us, I could hear lots of people talking and laughing and there was some music playing but it was too faint to make out what it was. Tyce's hand never left mine as we made our way from the living room to the kitchen.

"Hey guys!" Hadley greeted. She walked over to us and wrapped her arms tightly around me in a tight hug. I laughed.

"Uh, Hadley, can't breathe!" I gasped as she loosened her grip. She pulled back and smiled at me before turning her attention to Tyce.

"So," she addressed him. He glanced at me with a funny look on his face before turning back to her. "I haven't been talking to my best friend as much because he's been a little occupied with someone else." She paused for a moment, just long enough to wink at me. "But you definitely are delicious eye candy and you seem to be a great guy so I guess I'm okay with it." I felt my cheeks heat up and even Tyce's face went red with embarrassment. "But if you hurt Griffin so help me-"

"Okay Hadley! Thank you," I interjected. Tyce chuckled a little nervously.

"Don't worry Hadley," Tyce said, he turned and looked at me with a smile. "I'm in love with him." I bit my lip because he was so adorable.

"Awww," Hadley cooed. "That's so cute!" I wanted to bury my face in my hands and disappear momentarily. I didn't like drawing attention to myself and right now it seemed like everyone was listening to our conversation.

"Did I just hear what I think I did!?" Paisley called from across the room. She came running over with a squeal. Hadley giggled.

"Aren't they the cutest?" She asked Paisley. Paisley nodded, exaggerating the movement.

"Sorry boys I don't mean to be a typical stupid girl but....." she trailed off. "I CAN'T HELP IT!" She boomed. Tyce laughed while I looked around to see who else was looking. There were a couple guy and girls I didn't recognize. Fortunately Alex and Jordan were nowhere to be found....

"Hey Zaiden did you want to start the bur-" I heard a familiar voice call out from the patio as they walked into the house. Hadley and Paisley both fell silent as Alex's eyes locked on Tyce immediately. I looked away as an awkward silence settled over the room. It stayed that way for several seconds. "Uh, hey Tyce," Alex said awkwardly. He looked around at everyone before his eyes fell to the floor. He looked basically the same since the last time I had seen him, only he had a light dusting of stubble that was slightly darker than his brown hair, as if he hadn't shaved for a little while.

"Dude what's going on in here?" Jordan called after Alex as he walked in from outside. He fell silent too, his eyes looking from Alex to Tyce to me, and then back to Alex again.
