Logan left, after a while of just cuddling, no talking, leaving me alone in the room. But I couldn't stay here. I had to go talk to Blake. For sure he'd been pacing around, trying to figure out a way to get Serena and Calvin out. Well, maybe not Calvin, but I can make a plan for him myself.
I got out of bed, and went to go find Blake. It had just occurred to me that I hadn't talked to him in while either. I shrugged, guess now would be a good time.
Making my way past, Logan's, I turned to Blake's bedroom and just entered without knocking. Not like anyone in this house ever knocked before entering my room. I was surprised to see that no one was there. Well this was strange. Blake was always in his room when he wasn't harassing me or Serena.
I quickly left his room and bumped into Bae in the making.
"Oh, hey Bae." I smiled.
"Hey Mariah, what were you doing in Blake's room?" He asked, puzzled.
"I was hoping that Blake was there. I can't seem to find him. Do you know where he is?"
"Yeah actually, he's out in the forest by the river. Been going there a lot lately." I raised an eyebrow.
"That's not typical Blake." Something was wrong.
"Well thanks anyways Bae." I walked off waving. He blushed. Cute little Bae. I should find him a girlfriend.
I went down the stairs and past the kitchen. I was almost out the backdoor, when I was stopped by Jack. Oh shit. I had been trying to avoid him. Guess that wasn't going so well.
"Hey," he says, after a long pause of awkward silence.
"Hi," I replied.
"We need to talk." I nodded my head and he led my outside to sit on the porch.
"Listen, I want you to know that I love you, I really do, but I know when someone doesn't love me back, Mariah." I opened my mouth to talk but he covered it with his hand.
"Let me finish, you little big mouth. What I meant was you didn't love me in the same way I love you. You love me more in a brotherly way and I understand that. I guess I kind of thought that with time, you'd love me back in the same way. But what I didn't know was that you were in love with someone else." He pulled his hand away from my mouth and my head dropped.
"Jack, I didn't mean to hurt you, it's just-" He cut me off.
"It's just you're in love with my brother. And he loves you back. And I'm okay with that. Sure it hurts, but hey, I got eternity to get over it and find me someone else." I couldn't help what slipped out of my mouth.
"By someone else, you mean girl right? If not, I think I know the real reason you're saying all this to me. And when were you going to tell me you jumped ships?" Jack glared at me, trying to hide his smile.
"You know what I meant, Mariah. The day I turn gay is the day you learn to shut your big mouth." I laughed and slapped him.
"So, I guess we're over huh?" I stated. Jack nodded.
"Okay but I broke up with you if anyone asks okay?" I quickly said before he said it.
"Oh no, I broke up with you."
"Um, hello? I'm Mariah and Mariah doesn't get dumped!"
"Well today is the day she does!"
"Fuck you!"
"Give me a date and time and I'm all for it!" I smack his head, but he blocked my hand and we play fought for a while. Finally when he pinned me down, I gave up.
"It's a neutral thing, okay?" Jack said, face inches from mine. I nodded my head and he lean down and kissed me. It wasn't like the kiss I shared with Logan in my dream. It didn't feel right. When he finally pulled away, he got off me and helped me up.
"What happened to breaking up?" I asked. He smiled.
"It was a kiss goodbye. To being your boyfriend. And a kiss hello. For being your friend. And future brother in law." I laughed and in the time I spent with Jack, I forgot all about Blake and Serena.
"Oh shit, I got to go!" I said getting up. Jack just sat back relaxed.
"Logan won't like you going in the woods alone." I turned back to face Jack.
"What makes you think Logan will find out?" I sputtered, and Jack just laughed.
"Because he's standing right behind you, dummy!" And Jack died of laughter. I slowly turned around to see a smirking Logan.
"Logan won't find out what exactly?" He sarcastically asked.
"Oh, well, um, gotta run!" And I started sprinting, which is a really stupid idea because he's a vampire and I'm a pathetic human being. Actually not even a human being a random creature to be exact.
In no time, Logan was in front of me, blocking my way.
"You're really stupid, you know that Mariah? Trying to out run a vampire? Wow, I am actually shocked."
"Shocked that someone could be as brave as me and actually try to outrun you?" I plastered a fake smile on.
"Oh hell no. Shocked that someone could be as stupid as you." I glared at him as he died of laughter.
"No but seriously, where are you going?" He asked, when he finally gained control of him.
"To find Blake. I need to talk to him about helping me get Serena and Calvin out. They really are innocent, Logan, please believe me." Logan starred at me for a while.
"I believe you, Mariah. I always did from the beginning. Blake, on the other hand, might not believe you. Go talk to him, but you can't go alone. Not with Stephanie out lurking."
"But I have to talk to him!" I yelled in frustration.
"I understand. And you can. But I need to come with you. Hope you don't mind." I shrugged.
"Eh, you're growing on me. I'll allow you this one time." I said and started to walk.
"You'll allow me? Wow, you really are stupid aren't you." He said, following up behind me.
"Oh hush up and follow me!" I started walking when Logan grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.
"What?!" I yelled. He was just wasting time.
"The river is that way." He said, pointing in the opposite direction. Well, I sure am an air head.
"Oh," I muttered and he just laughed.
"I think you should follow me from now on." I rolled my eyes at him.
"Just walk, you little twinkling bitch." He glared at me.
"Watch it you dumb blonde." I threw my hands in frustration.
"I'm not even a blonde!"
"True, you're dumber then one, now let's go." I shook my head. No point in trying to fight with him. One the bright side, he was actually going through a plan I made with me. That's a surprise.
