I couldn't believe what was about to happen. We were about to go upstairs and kill the one person that actually was my other half. And the worst part? I was the reason behind it. I felt a tear roll down my face. Logan held my chin and lifted my head to his.

"You don't have to be there. Hell, if you want, me and you can go somewhere, do something to get your mind off it. But I can't let her live, Mariah. I can do anything you ask, but I can let her just go like that. We have to do it. I'm sorry." I looked down. I couldn't speak. What was I suppose to say? Oh go ahead, kill my own twin sister, I'll just go get a burger? No, no matter what she did to me, she's still my sister. I don't want her to die.

"Mariah, say something please!" Logan was pleading. I looked back up and him.

"What do you want me to say? I know you can't keep her alive but I'm not going to stand here and say yeah go kill my twin sister. Truth is, I don't even want to think about it right now." He nodded.

Randomly, Garrett came running down the stairs.

"What's wrong Gar?" Serena asked.

"Maricel, she's missing." We all gasped and started to climb the stairs to go upstairs before Calvin stopped us.

"What's wrong?" Serena asked him.

"I have to return something I took from Logan a while back." He reached into his pocket and brough out the same ruby necklace Logan had traded Nicole with for me. Serena gasped and Logan's eyes widened.

"I-I almost forgot about it." Logan stuttered, reaching out to take the necklace from Calvin.

"What's with the necklace anyways?" I still didn't get the point. Logan looked up from the necklace to me and smiled.

"It was my mothers." My mouth dropped open.

"But then, why did Calvin want it?" Calvin looked down.

"In order to kill a vampire, you have to have the thing they value most. So when Logan gave the necklace for you, he basically gave his life for you." I stood there, wide eyed.

"Is this true, Logan?" I asked him and he nodded. I glared and slapped him. Everyone looked stunned, especially Logan.

"What the fuck was that for, Mariah?"

"You idiot! Why the hell would you give your life for someone you didn't even know?" We were both yelling. I heard Blake snicker.

"Typical Mariah. Finds out a guy gave his life for her and she slaps him for being such an idiot." I glared over at him.

"Shut the fuck up, Blake!" He raised his hands in surrender and smile. Serena turned to him.

"You better give your life for me if ever needed. Mariah might not like it but I sure as hell would!" I laughed.

"Good job Serena!" She smiled at me and Logan turned me to face him.

"I want you to hide it." He said.

"Why me?" I was stunned.

"Because I want it with the one person who I trust and ... never mind. Just hide it, please." I glared at him. He was always doing that.

"Never finish your sentences." I muttered, grabbing the necklace and running upstairs to the room I shared with Logan.

Opening the door, I stood there shock as fuck. No fucking way. It couldn't be.

"Hello Mariah, long time no see." And I yelled.

A/N: Sorry for such a short chapter and a big cliff hanger but I had to! I'm so sorry guys but trust me the next chapter is going to be epic (I hope) and its almost the end of the book so bare with me!
