She had short black hair, brown eyes and was black in skin tone. I backed away a little but she stepped forward and looked at me up and down. "You met her didn't you" she asked walking closer and touching the necklace.

"Who?"

"Her.. Mama, they call her. She was a miscarriage but had children of her own in the spirit world" she said never taking her eyes off the necklace. "Did you go through the passageway?" She asked.

I quickly pulled her aside and told her everything that had happened, from when we were in the kayak, to mama. She nodded and we both got up. "I can't understand how you connect with your dead friend...but that's okay. Right now we need to leave" she said grabbing my hand. I pulled my hand back and stared at her. "Why?" I asked Blaise. "She's coming"

She grabbed my hand again and began pulling me.

Just then lighting struck the spot we were about to walk on. The girls screams coming from all directions.

We both turned around to face another girl...which I'm guessing is mama.

She has long dark black hair, dark eyes and her long black dress had been ripped. Her arms were showing her purple vains and her hands with her deep cuts. She was taller than us by a bit. She wasn't looking up but only down. "Give me my necklace" she roared.

"Give it to her!" Blaise shouted. "N-no.....I need it" I said unclipping the necklace and staring down at it. There was a half a heart on it. That said 'hid'. It made no sense. Did someone have the other part.

She screamed again angrily.

Blaise's Pov

I watched mama lift Nicole up without even touching her. Mama had her hands up in the position of a person strangling another. She wasn't touching Nicole but only a few steps away from her."give me" she screamed. I winced, covering my ears.

I ran to a tree and picked up a thick log. I ran back to mama and hit the back of her head, making her drop Nicole to the ground. Nicole held her throat and coughed, crawling away. I dropped the peace of wood and ran to her. I picked her up and began running as fast as I could.

Lighting struck again but I dodged it. I didn't want to watch Nicole die. I didn't know her but I really wanted to. She had an iron will. She still had hope even though I had lost mine since the day I got here. My parents sent me for wood for fire and I got stranded. I had been here for weeks. Even months maybe. Tears streamed down my face.

"Nicole please you need to help me here!" I shouted. Just then vines came down and lifted me up. Nicole opened her eyes and smiled at me. Vines came down and rapped around Her arms. The vines pulled her up and soon she was next to me.

How was it possible? We were both standing on layers of vines beneath our feet. She grabbed my hand and began running, pulling me with her.
