My baby
The one who loved me for me
And knew how to treat a lady
He loved me no matter what
And I broke his heart
From jumping to conclusions
When I should have remembered from the start
He loved me
He really cared
Those weren't nothing
The memories that we shared
They were what made us the way we were
They were deep
There were a lot
And at points we were steep
But we overcame them
All the obstacles in our way
They were drained out
Anytime we talked any day
It didn't matter when
Or how long
We had each other's backs
That's what made us strong
It was us
We were one
Our spirits lifted up so high
They soared above the sun
All those emotions
They were raw
Each and every part of it
We knew every flaw
He knew when to push
I knew when to pull
If you put them together
That's what made us whole
He didn't do anything to hurt me
He never would
I can't believe I let him down
He was always pulling through for me when he could
I'm utterly disappointed
Mostly in me
Why couldn't I see
What he wanted me to be
He wanted me to be happy
He put that first
Opened me up
And not for the worst
But for I could see
What was going on around
He meant no harm
It was me who started to drown
I suffocated
From the things I knew
They went as unappreciative
And left without a clue
I never even realized
How bad he had also fell
I imprinted on him
And at this moment I can tell
Why else would he do all this stuff
He didn't wanna get caught
But he couldn't loose me
If he did he'd be distraught
I never even realized
Never even thought
Of how much I meant to him
It was something I never sought
I need to tell him
I love him
And to remember that
It's got me to the rim
Just like he did for me
When I was unsure
Of our trust
But then we became assure
And we did
Only because he led me on
In the right direction
Before I was gone
He just had me to believe
And was always there
Showing me the pros
Until they were bare
He was real
He'd say what I did not
And because of that
I have been taught
He means a lot to me
He's like the light
In my flashlight
Guiding me through the night
Without him
I wouldn't see
And thankfully I did
While learning a lot about me
