Chapter 9 : Claiming their rights

I glanced at kazumi's unconcious face then at Sheina's. They both were in the private hospital of the school and were heavily bandaged. There were still purple marks and bruises here and there. There were packs of blood transfusion next to both of them. I stared at them in shock ,then at Weiss who had calmed down and regained herself now. The place was crowded with the F rankers by now and they all looked worried and scared.

"What had happened to them?" I asked slowly not moving my eyes from kazumi and sheina.

"It was ... it was Steve. When I reached there it was too late...he and his gang of royals did this..." Weiss shook her head.

"But why???" I asked shaking her

"Isn't it obvious? You did something to Steve the other day which totally ruined his reputation! He had come back for revenge as soon as he had recovered only to find that you're in the protection in the dorms...he took it out on your friends as a warning" Weiss shook her head shutting her eyes tightly almost as if she could see the scenery unfold infront of her.

I stood there quietly thinking.

"Well. This is war..." I muttered and Weiss looked at me with confusion.

"Excuse me? War? You think we can defeat those higher ups??? If so, you're crazy we can barely protect ourselves form their weakest attacks how we can go war against them. Besides it's against the rules.... Are you serious?!" Weiss asked her face struck with fear once again.

I scoffed. "And here you mock us humans. In the human world we control the higher ups. The government or whatsoever won't be elected without our votes. The rich are robbed each day. The higher ups exist because we the lower ranks exist. We are not always weak. At points we become stronger . I don't see why vampires can't do the same they're stronger than us ...." I stared angrily at Weiss and she took a step back.

"You're saying to forget all this? And just continue to live up our lives as cowards??" I asked as I glanced at everyone that surrounded us watching the drama unfold.

"Do you know why your down here? It because you chose to be!" I said. Okay that was pretty mean and most of them looked taken aback. Others looked angry.

"you...do you even know how much we had to go through?? your just a newbie you won't know everything that had happened" I tall guy with jet black hair stood up.

"yea! Don't judge us ! you don't know what they made us do" another girl said to me .

"I may not! But you guys being held down by fear is not going to help at all. I know that for a fact. By being drawn away by fear you are just doing exactly as they want you to. Do you really want to spend the rest of your lives...no more likely your kids lives spent like these?" I asked.

Nobody said a word.

"guess what? If you don't make a change here your kids and all the low class vampires would also suffer the same thing.it would just go on and on and on. And your just going to let them kill more and more of your loved ones and friends??" I asked waving a hand towards kazumi and Sheina.

Silence surrounded me. I could see that nobody was accepting anything I had just said. They were letting their fear control them.
