Olivia's POV:
"You kissed your ex best friend's brother?" Aaron asks me, as the whole baseball team stretches for our game. "You savage."
As I high five him, I see Jason walking up towards the fence of the field. "I'll be right back." I run over to my twin, hopping over the fence just like do before every game. I hug him. "Are you going to sit in your normal spot?"
He nods, and points in the direction of the bleachers. "Dad's up there talking to Cole already." My eyes bulge out, but I coughed to cover it up. No time to worry about it now. "I wish I could be out there playing with you. I really miss it."
I hug him again. "Just keep practicing at home. One of these days you will get fully released, and you'll be even better than you were before. A scout will want you, and your dream will finally come through."
He smiles, "You always know the right thing to say,"
"I do try my best."
"Kolton! Huddle up!" Coach Smith yells from the pitcher mound.
"Wish me luck," I say to my twin as I hop back over the fence that divides us.
He flashes me a thumbs up and smiles. "You don't need it."

"Carry me," I whined to my brother as he smiles, amused at my tired legs. "Jason you are the worst brother ever!"
"Too bad you're stuck with me." As we walked to our car, Jason eventually gave into my continuous whining and complaining. He gave me a piggy back ride. "Have you gained weight? I swear you weigh like 3,000 pounds."
I hopped down and scoffed. "You're one to talk, fatty." I mumbled.
Jason and I pushed each other around, laughing and teasing each other despite my exhaustion and weak legs. "Guys!" My dad barked at us. He pushed us back and then took off in a sprint towards the other side of the grassy area we were in.
Jason and I shared a look of disbelief before we both sprinted after our dad.
Let's just say that our dad is a lot faster than I remember. And finally we caught him, all of us collapsing on the soft, green grass beneath us. "Dad, I think you are about as immature as Jason and the guys combined. which is saying a lot."
He laughs, ruffling my hair. "I love you kids."
"I love you too, Dad." Jase and I say in unison.
*******
"Baseball tryouts are today," I told Cole through the phone, as I walk into the school's gymnasium.
"You don't have to retry out do you?"
"Yeah, I do. But Coach said it's only because I'm the only girl-"
"The guys don't have to?" He asked as I stretched.
"No, because they have been playing for him most of their high school careers. I just joined this past summer because of my brother, so apparently I'm the only one having to retry out." I sighed, grabbing my bag and walking out to the baseball fields. "Is it bad that I am nervous?"
