Brett walked over to me and handed me a bandages. I took the towel that I was putting over my neck off and started to take the wrapper off. "We'll practice one more time tomorrow. You did good today."
"Thanks." I replied quickly. I got the bandage and put it on my neck, right below my chin.
"You'll have a nice scar there at least." Brett laughed. I shot him a dirty look.
"Yeah, well, I have to cover it up with makeup since the Princess doesn't have a freaking knife wound on her neck." I snapped. Brett laughed and started to walk away. I got up and started to follow him.
"Brett, can I ask you a question?" I asked as I caught up with him.
"Depends." He answered back.
"Do you really like me?" I asked anyway. Brett stopped walking and looked at me. I stopped too and turned to him.
"I don't like you Sky." He answered. I nodded. "I love you." I shot him a confused look. "Look, I've been in love with you for the longest time now. Ever since I saw you back in middle school. I saw you hanging out with Jen at your locker and thought 'damn, she's gorgeous'. I got close to you so I could get enough nerves to ask you out." He answered. "But, I waited too long, you went out with Mason."
"I never went out with him." I snapped. "We only liked each other. He said he didn't want to get into a relationship, but now I see why..."
"But I saw how happy you were with him, and I didn't want to take that away from you. Remember when I dated Brenda?" I laughed.
"Yeah, I do." He smiled a little.
"I dated her so I could try to get my feelings towards you off my mind. I didn't think we would ever date. I thought it was just going to be you and Mason." He confessed.
"You dated her for so long." I sighed.
"And that's how much I loved you, Sky. You were always on my mind. Every time I hugged her, kissed her, cuddled with her, I wished it was with you, not Brenda. I love you, Sky." Brett confessed.
"Brett... I lo-"
"Okay, everyone!" I heard Logan yell from another room. "Meet in the living room, ASAP!" I looked back at Brett.
"I guess that's us."
