"Brett?" I asked as we made our way to the mat so we could practice.
"What's up?" Brett asked, not looking at me.
"You think this is going to work?" I asked. Brett stopped walking, sighed, then turned to face me.
"Skylar, I can't say if this is going to work or not. I don't know if the enemy, this," Brett paused. "'Wolfgang', is going to know what we're doing. I don't know if he's going to be ready for us. Hell, he could either be three steps ahead of us, or we could be three steps ahead of him." I nodded. "But, Skylar," Brett continued. "We can't lose faith in this mission, either. We need to keep are heads up high and go one step at a time."
"Okay." I replied. Brett smiled, then he tilted his head to his left.
"Come on," Brett said. "Let's get some practice in."
"Alright." I sighed. We both started to make our way to the mat again. I usually love practice. Training is a lot of fun, keeps me occupied for a while. But my stomach feels like it has a bunch of knots in it, and my heart keeps like a weight was just dropped on my heart.
Literally.
"Brett." I called out. I stopped walking and looked at the floor. He turned around and looked at me.
"Skylar, you alright?" Brett asked. I was starting to get dizzy. I stumbled over to the wall with my right hand on the wall and my left hand on my head.
"I... I don't know." I replied slowly. The room started to spin faster and faster. My heartbeat was slow, and it felt like I was going to throw up everything I have in my body.
"Skylar, seriously, what's wrong." Brett asked. I went to tell him that I didn't know again, but when I opened my mouth, nothing came out. I shut my mouth again. I get a cold sweat start to run down my face, and I felt like all the blood wasn't getting to my brain. I looked up and saw Brett run up to me. He grabbed my shoulders and started to shake me a little. "Sky?! Skylar?! Shit, come on, stay with me." I went to go speak again, but nothing came out. I shut my mouth again.
"Brett, what's wrong with Skylar?" A voice asked. I couldn't think of who the voice belonged to, but to be honest, I didn't care at the moment. I was just trying to keep my body standing.
I felt like I was dying.
"I don't know, she's acting weird." Brett replied. Then, all of a sudden, my ears just started to ring, nothing else. Logan came into my sight, and he was talking to Brett, but I couldn't hear anything. My head started to droop, and my legs were giving out on me. I somewhat looked at Brett, and he was shaking me even harder now, screaming something. But I couldn't make it out, my body became more limp. So limp that I guess Brett wasn't expecting in, and I crashed on the floor.
That's when everything was silent, and everything became dark.
