I was sitting in the living room on the couch. I was holding an ice pack to where Mason hit me. The team was trying to figure out what happened. I was honestly to scared to say anything about the incident. "King, you need to tell us." Patrick said sternly. I sighed and turned away from him. "Please, you need to say something."
"Nothing happened," I snapped. "I fell when I tried to get up for water. Laying in bed for a very long time is something that I'm not used to and my legs were weak." I lied. Logan stormed up and grabbed my face with his right hand. He grabbed under my chin, squishing my cheeks hard. He turned my head harshly and looked at my injury.
"Skylar, you're really going to freaking sit there and tell me THAT is from you falling on the damn ground?" He snapped. I never heard him so angry before.
"Yes." I snapped back. He released my face and just stared down at me. I put the ice pack on my cheek again.
"Fine." Logan said. Everyone turned to him.
"What do you mean, 'fine'." Scott asked. Logan turned to him.
"I mean fine. If she isn't going to help us figure out what happened, what's the point? Let her figure out what she wants. Stop the investigation. Patrick." Patrick looked back at Logan quickly. "Find some makeup to help cover up that, deep cut." Patrick nodded.
"Yes boss." Patrick got up quickly and ran off. Logan started to look around at everyone.
"What? Get to work. We leave tomorrow morning." Logan looked at me again. He had no expression on his face. I felt all the blood leave my face at once, leaving me pale. He looked away and walked into my room, slamming the door hard. I closed my eyes and sighed.
I really don't want to be here. I wish I was back at the training facility.
I heard someone sit down on the foot rest across from me. I opened my eyes to see Brett sitting there, also with a blank expression.
"Kitchen, now." He snapped. He got up and walked calmly to the kitchen. I really don't feel like dealing with Brett, mostly with the whole poisoning accident. If he was responsible, he's not going to be happy with what I do with him. I got up and walked slowly to the kitchen. Brett was already cutting up strawberries on the kitchen counter.
"What do you want?" I asked. Brett turned back to me. He looked around to make sure no one was listening, then looked at me.
"Tell me what happened, Sky." Brett demanded.
"I told you guys. I freaking fell. What do you want from me?"
"To tell me the truth about Mason being in your room."
