Chapter 20

One week went by really quick, the lecturer decided to throw a party for the students for their hard work. Zainab, Faryal and Maria went shopping while Ijaz, Wasim and Kasim went shopping. Faryal was still depressed and didn't want to go but Zainab and Maria convinced her. At the shopping centre the girls were looking at a dress when suddenly across the other side a tie caught Faryal's eyes. She walked towards it, just as she was about to take the tie. She felt someone's hand's on her hand, when she looked up it was Kasim. Their eyes locked, Zainab and Maria watched from the other side. Suddenly Kasim walked away, Faryal started tearing up. Maria asked Zainab, what's going on between them. Zainab told her that Faryal and Kasim recently broke up but still love each other. Maria tells Zainab that she has a plan to reunite them. The girls finally pick a dress each and go to find matching accessories. The girls go back to their student accommodation place to get ready, suddenly the door bell rings. Faryal goes to see who it is, she is shocked to see that her best friend Zak was standing in front of her.

"OMG Zak, what are you doing here?!" Said Faryal.

"Well I have a meeting here and found out you study here so I thought I'd come and pay you a visit" said Zak.

"Oh that's nice, what a lovely surprise and oh my god! I'm such an idiot please come in" said Faryal.

Zak went and sat on the sofa, Faryal went to get Zainab and Maria, she introduced them to each other.

"Where are you all going?" Said Zak.

"Oh our lecturer has thrown as a party as we've been working very hard" said Faryal.

"Oh that's really sweet of him, enjoy. I'll go then, catch up with you some other time" said Zak.

"No, come with us" said Faryal.

"Are you sure? Will your lecturer not mind, I'm not part of your class" said Zak.

"Yeah I'm sure, it's a party! Doesn't matter if you are in my class or not" said Faryal.

"Ok, I'll come then" said Zak.

The girls were finally ready, Zak drove them to the venue. "By the way, you all look very beautiful". They all thanked them, Zainab went to look for Ijaz while Maria and Faryal stayed with Zak. Faryal's eyes started searching for Kasim, Zak noticed this and said, "Are you looking for someone?".
"No, why?".
"Oh it seemed like you were" said Zak.
Zainab came with Ijaz and Wasim.

"Ijaz, this is Zak, Faryal's friend and Zak this is my boyfriend" said Zainab.

"Oh hey, nice to meet you" said Ijaz.
"Nice to meet you to Ijaz" said Zak.
Faryal introduced Zak to Wasim, the boys started talking away when suddenly Kasim walked towards them. Faryal couldn't get her eyes off him, her eyes longed for him now that he was in front of her she couldn't look away. Zak noticed this and nudged Faryal, she snapped out of the trance for a while. Zak then noticed Kasim looking at Faryal slyly, he could sense the tension between them.

"Hey Faryal, you didn't introduce me to him" said Zak.

"Oh yeah... This is Kasim, My... Uhmm my... he's in my class" said Faryal.

"Oh hey Kasim, nice to meet you" said Zak. Kasim shook his hand and said, "Nice to meet you too and you are?".
"I'm Zak, Faryal's best friend".
"Oh" said Kasim. The lecturer came and said, "What are you all doing here? Party!!!".
"Haha you're lecturer is amazing, mine was so boring. Lucky you" said Zak.
"Yeah he's the best" said Maria.
"Come everyone, let's dance" said Zak.
"I don't want to" said Faryal.
"What? Faryal! You don't want to dance! How is this possible! You used to want to dance all the time" said Zak.
"Well some things just change" said Faryal.
"Stop being a bore Faryal, come on! Cheer up a bit" said Zak. He took her to the dance floor and started dancing away, moonwalk, Gangnam style, Harlem Shake, Nae Nae, name it he did it. Faryal started to laugh, she had forgotten to laugh and even smile since her breakup with Kasim. Zak made her happy again, that was one of his bestest qualities. No matter how sad or angry Faryal was, he always managed to put a smile on her face.
