Chapter 17

Ammarah's Mehndi

Kasim is in his bed fast asleep when suddenly someone strokes his head, he jumps up and shouts, "Mum!".
She smiles and says, "Good morning sleepy head".
"Good morning mum, when did you come, why didn't you tell me." Asked Kasim.
"I got a taxi and I wanted to surprise" said his mum.
"What a great surprise" said Kasim.
"I missed you Kasim" said his mum.
"I missed you too mum and where's dad?" replied Kasim.
"He's coming tonight" said his mum.
"Oh ok" replied Kasim. Kasim's phone started ringing, his mum picked up the phone and saw Faryal's picture pop up and above it, it said, "My World".
"Kasim beta? Who's Faryal?" Asked his mum. Kasim's face went bright red, "Kasim beta, YOU'RE IN LOVE!" said his mum excitedly.
"Yes mum and I'll introduce you to her, wait a second" said Kasim.
"Oh my god! I'm so happy for you my son and wait, she's here! Go get her!" Said his mum. So Kasim went into Faryal's room, "Why didn't you answer you're phone!" Said Faryal.
"Come with me" said Kasim.
"But where?!" Said Faryal.
"Stop asking questions, just come" said Kasim. He took her into his room and said, "Mum, this is Faryal and Faryal this is mum". Faryal was shocked and said, "A.salaam Auntie, when did you come? You should have told us we would have came to collect you".

"W.salaam Faryal beta and I came just a while ago, I wanted to surprise Kasim that's why I didn't tell anyone" said Kasim's mum.

"Oh that's nice, it was a lovely surprise indeed, I'm so happy to finally meet you Auntie" said Faryal.

"Thank you and it was lovely meeting you too and Kasim, you made a good choice" said his mum.
"Thank you mum" said Kasim.
He hugged his mum and said, "I'm so happy that you like Faryal".
"I know my son has the best choice ever and Faryal is a lovely girl" said Kasim's mum. Faryal smiled and hugged his mum.

"Faryal beta" said Kasim's mum.
"Yes Auntie" said Faryal.
"Is it ok with you, if I talk to you're parents about you and Kasim after you're cousin's wedding?".
"Yes auntie, whatever you think is right" said Faryal.
"Ok that's fine" said Kasim's mum.
Faryal felt shy and ran into her room, she was over the moon that Kasim's mum liked her and that she wants to get them married as soon as possible.

Meanwhile everyone was busy getting ready, the guests started to arrive. Faryal went down, everyone was looked at her, Kasim whispered in her ear that she looks stunning. Faryal started to blush in front of everyone, Zainab and Ijaz started off their performance, one by one everyone done their performance finally it was Faryal and Kasim's turn. The guests clapped and whistled for them, After the performance was over. Faryal went beside all the girl's who were busy getting their mehndi done, Faryal doesn't like mehndi but got it done because Ammarah requested her to get it done. The Mehndi artist did a lovely design on Faryal's hand, she asked Faryal if she would like someone's name or initial on her hand so Faryal said to put a 'K' on her hand. Kasim came over and said, "Are you hungry?".
"Yes very hungry" replied Faryal.
"Ok 1 min" said Kasim. He went to get her a plate of food, he saw Ijaz with two plates and said, "Mate, Are you that hungry?".
"Haha no I'm going to feed Zainab, she's got mehndi on her hands so I got us both food" said Ijaz.
"Oh ok haha same" said Kasim.
"Where's your plate?" Said Ijaz.
"I'll eat after I've feed Faryal" said Kasim.
"Oh so sweet haha I'll see you later" said Ijaz.
"Ok bye" replied Kasim.
He went to Faryal with the plate, "I bought you food" said Kasim.
"How am I going to eat?" Said Faryal.
"I'll feed you" said Kasim.
"In front of everyone?!" Said Faryal.
"Yeah? Nobody can say anything cause you're hungry and everyone else has mehndi on so only the guys can feed the girls" said Kasim.
"Ok, feed me then, I'm starving" said Faryal. Kasim started laughing and feed her, Faryal then said, "Wait, have you eat?".
"No" said Kasim.
"Why not?" Said Faryal.
"Cause you haven't eaten" said Kasim.
"Oh my god! Kasim you should have eat something! First you eat then I'll eat!" Said Faryal.
"No Faryal! You Eat then I'll eat" said Kasim.
"No, eat that samosa in front of me right now!" Said Faryal.
"Ok" said Kasim. He ate the samosa, "Happy now" said Kasim.
"Yes" said Faryal.
"Now open you're mouth so I can feed you" said Kasim.
"Ok but you have to eat with me" said Faryal.
"Ok ok my princess! Whatever you say" said Kasim. The mehndi artist smiled and said, "You both make such a cute couple, haha God bless you both".
"Thank you" said Kasim and Faryal at the same time. They laughed, Kasim continued feeding Faryal and Faryal feed him. Kasim's mum came and smiled saying, "you're mehndi looks very nice Faryal".
"Thank you Auntie" Replied Faryal.
Kasim's mum then went beside Faryal's mum, they started chatting away when suddenly Kasim's mum said, "I want my son Kasim to marry your daughter".
Before Faryal's mum could reply someone quickly grabbed her and took her away. So Kasim's mum decided to talk to Faryal's parents about Faryal and Kasim's relationship after the wedding.
