Holding the picture of him and I between my index finger and thumb, tears streaming down my face. Rubbing circles on the image in my hand. Remembering the moments clearer than the blue skies.

The photo of a heart with our initials in it him and I carved into the sand at the beach. A gorgeous sunset in the background. Remembering the day as if it was yesterday.

"Luke don't splash me!" I yelled, already knowing the blonde boys intentions. squealing as I felt the cold liquid on my skin. "Luke." I whined. but all he did was laugh. crossing my arms on my chest, I turned, a pout on my face. soon his laughter died down, and I felt his arms wrap around my waist from behind and place his head on my shoulder.

Feeling his lips against my exposed skin, then resting his head in the crook of my neck "The sunset is almost as beautiful as you are." he mumbled against my skin, the contact sending shivers down my spine. I turned to face him, and kissed his jaw, wrapping my hands around his neck his hands still around my waist. Kissing all the way up until I got to his ear and stopped and whispered "that was cheesy Hemmings," I turned away from him and walked away turning once more to face him "But lucky for you I love cheesy things." finding a stick near by I bent over began drawing a giant heart, and put our initials in it.

"But it's cute and that's all that matters." he spoke once more than wrapped one arm around my waist pulling me close.

We sat down in the sand. staring at this sunset. He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.

"Luke and Eva," he whispered, kissing the top of my head, looking at the heart.
