Jeff finally reached his room, still utterly confused on what just happened. He opened the door to his log cabin. He turned on the light, looking at his desk and seeing newspapers about him. The only thing he hated about the news is how wrong they got it. When another freak like him kills someone, he gets the blame. He hated that, he didn't like getting credit when he didn't do the crime. He only actually knew one other person like him, and that was Jack. Eyeless Jack as they called him.
He looked around his house, it was actually really small. A tiny kitchen, one bed room, one bath room and the living room, which was also the kitchen. It reminded him when he was a child and went camping with his brother, mother and father up here. He went straight to his bedroom, taking off is hoodie and laying down. Thinking about what the fuck just happened.
The girl on the other hand was doing other things, like trying to find a place to stay. God she regretted not just staying with Ruby. The girl walked until she found a cabin in the middle of the woods. She simply knocked on the door. Not realizing she was knocking on the door of a serial killer. The door opens, reveling a half naked, drowsy psychopath.
"uh h-hello! do you think I could stay the night here?"
The door slammed in her face, a now irritated and sluggish Jeff sighed in doubt. This random girl he just tried to kill, healed his bruise and now asked to stay with the worlds most known killer?! She was insane, that was for sure. He looked out the window and saw she was still there. He opened the door again.
"Do you not know who the fuck I am?" Jeff replied, annoyed tone in his raspy voice.
"N-no? Am I supposed to?" The girl murmured.
"Ugh fine! Only because if I don't I have a feeling you will still be there in the morning. What the fuck is your name anyways?"
"H-heathen"
He snickered at that, someone really named their child that?! He stepped aside, letting Heathen into the room. He simply pointed at the couch.
"You can stay here only because I am letting you, I expect you to be gone by tomorrow" Jeff said, walking back to his room.
"Y-yes sir..."
Jeff looked back in shock, seriously what was up with this girl. He just shook it off and went back into his room. Shutting the door and laying on his bed.
Later that night, at around 2:30. Whimpering came from the living room, soon to be violent shakes and quivers. That soon became full on screaming.
"Don't hurt me ruby!" The girl screeched in her sleep, causing the killer to wake up in shock. Running out into the hall and seeing the poor girl having a nightmare. God this must have been what his mother felt like when he used to have nightmares. He felt a slight mix of pity and...something he hadn't felt in a long time, empathy. Jeff went over to her and shook her awake, the girl trembling in his arms.
"D-don't h-hurt me, I'm sorry for w-waking y-you Rub- Jeff"
Now, out of all the times this girl has confused Jeff, this was the most confusing. Who is this Ruby chick? He was used to people screaming don't hurt me, just never mix his name. Honestly the fact he wasn't the worst person in her life burned him up inside. When an idea hit him, kill her when she is like this.
"shh, it's okay, what happened" Jeff pretended to care with sympathetic voice.
"R-Ruby"
"who is ruby?"
"she hurts m-me"
God damn, Jeff felt angry for some odd reason. Was it because someone hurt her before he could? Or because someone who has shown him kindness is getting hurt? This doesn't make sense, he is a psychopath!? he isn't supposed to feel empathy? Forget the kill her plan, he was curious about her.
"It was only a nightmare..get some sleep okay?" Jeff was planning on asking about who exactly this Heathen girl was tomorrow....
