THE PAST
"Hey, where's everyone?" Tanong ko kay Yaya when she's the only one I saw in the dining table, preparing for my breakfast. Suot-suot niya ang uniporme ng mga kasambahay namin.
"Ay Lex, kasama ng Mommy mo si Kuya Van mo tapos kasama naman ng Daddy mo si Kuya Thean mo" Sagot ni Yaya.
I was taken aback, why? Why would I still be surprise? Hindi ba dapat ay sanay na ako?
"Oh. Okay." I said then smiled before eating my breakfast, alone.
I am always alone in this house. Fuck. I'm being dramatic again but that's the truth. Since Jenna, Cody, and Ken left the country wala na akong ibang nakasama. Azrael was busy in heaven and I was left alone.
Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone.
Alone in this big fucking mansion left with guards.
Why? Because my mom is always bringing Van to her work while Dad is always bringing Thean. While me? I'm the big fucking black sheep of this family.
My mom is proud of Van because who fucking wouldn't? He's the good son, a smart and clever son. And of course, Dad favored Thean because he's strong like him, atsaka parehas sila ng hilig. Hunting things and all.
While me? I am the fucking weak one. Laging naiiwan sa bahay. Since everyone left I started homeschooling. Ano pa ba ang silbi ng pagaaral sa school if I already know what they are teaching.
My mom home-schooled me, and my teacher is a vampire also.
"Ya, alam mo ba kung anong oras uwi nila?" I asked her, my voice sounded hopeful, because as far as I can remember, Dad promised to take me out for dinner.
He said na babawi siya for all the time he's not here.
I hope this is not one of his fucking broken promises.
"Sila Mam Archimea po mga eleven pa daw po ng gabi tapos sila Ser naman baka sa susunod na araw pa." Sagot ni Yaya.
I just nodded, as expected, he let me down again. And I'm sure he'll do it again and again and again. Fuck. My life became some fucking boring life since everyone left. And it fucking hurts.
Ganun na lang ba talaga ako kadaling iwanan? Fuck. Let's just stop this dramatic monlogue.
Pagkatapos ko magbreakfast ay nakipag-video call ako kay Jenna and Cody, atleast they didn't forget about me whilst Ken is a big asshole who never contact nor messaged me or anything.
"Hi bitch." Bati ni Jenna hababg inaayos ang camera nila.
I rolled my eyes, "Bitch, stop calling me a bitch." I said.
She laughed, "Lex, I wanna tell you a secret." She said.
"What is it?" I asked, my forehead knotted.
"Wala na kami sa States, nagpunta kami ni Cody dito sa Pennsylvania for some research." Sabi ni Jenna.
"The fuck? You serious? Anong klaseng research?" I asked her confusely, I know her too well, hindi siya mahilig sa research, even Cody doesn't like it that much.
"About the Alpha."
It made me fell into a silence and then I laughed, "You two got some serious mental problems, you do know that the Alphas doesn't exist right?" I asked her, gosh, my cousins are stupid.
Jenna rolled her eyes, "Well, it's real bitch, nakakuha kami ng informations kaya kami nandito, we are trying to find the Alpha."
"Okay okay. Fine. So why are you trying to find the Alpha?" I asked her again.
