The Dragon's Master (NaLu)

Chapter 9, A Song

Natsu's Pov, 

Loke and Aquarius seemed to be a good team but I could see it was taking a lot out of Lucy. She looked weak and tired. "Must be hard to summon them" Laxus mumbled watching as Gajeel nodded only nodded to agree. I kept quiet still not liking that Loke. I didn't like him near MY Lucy. "It seems the longer they are here, the more it takes out of Lucy" Levy then started to write stuff down in a notepad. The question is where did she get that notepad. We watched as Loke kicked Erza into the air. Aquarius used this time to blast Erza into the ground with the water.

I watched a little shocked as Erza soon moved fast towards Aquarius. Loke jumped toward Erza and then grabbed Erza's leg. I saw Erza smirk and she spun around fast, sending Loke toward Aquarius. "If only my boyfriend was here" Aquarius sighed and then smirked at Lucy. "You always do this" Lucy sighed shaking her head as then Aquarius sent water for Loke to slam into. I could see Lucy looked even more tired as Loke looked at her a little worried. "That's all for today" Erza soon landed back on the ground making her outfit turn back to normal.

"See you around Lucy" Loke smiled at Lucy before he vanished into thin air. Aquarius glared at Lucy before she vanished. I got up and walked over to Lucy who just took a deep breath. "It seems it takes a lot out of you to have them both out" Erza walked over as Lucy only nodded. Erza started thinking as she left the room without saying another word. Most likely planning something. Gajeel started to listen to Levy about something while Mira was teasing Laxus by playing with his hair. "Come with me" I whispered in Lucy's ear, grabbing her hand.

I saw a hint of red show in her cheeks as she only nodded. I ran out the training room, dragging Lucy with me as we headed for the temples exit. Soon as we got out the temple I pulled Lucy close and picked her up bridal style. "Natsu" Lucy nearly shouted shocked as I just gave her my toothy grin. I soon started running toward the forest. I thought just us two spending the rest of the day alone wouldn't hurt anyone. After a short run we was in the corner of the forest. I knew it like the back of my hand. Lucy looked at the waterfall shocked.

I placed her down as she walked toward it, putting her hand in the water. She was smiling. She had a beautiful smile. I walked over as the wind blew around us. We stayed quiet for awhile listening to the nature around us. Soon Lucy was humming a song. I looked at her as she then stopped and was just smiling. "Please sing the song you was humming" I soon asked making her shocked a little and looked at me. I started to beg her as she was rubbing the back of her neck. "Alright, alright" Lucy gave in making me give her another toothy grin.

I dragged Lucy over to a tree as we sat under it. Then Lucy took a deep breath as she started to sing the song.

In middle of the song Lucy put her head on my shoulder as I just smiled, closing my eyes listening to her voice. I would do anything to hear this again. When Lucy was done I opened one eye to look at her. She was smiling brightly. "You have an amazing voice Lucee" I whispered as her cheeks went a little red. She was so cute when her face burned up. I couldn't help but smile more. "T-thanks" Lucy whispered playing with some of her hair. I then smelled Gajeel and Laxus slowly getting closer. "Time to move" I sighed as Lucy looked at me confused.

"WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU FLAME BRAIN" Gajeel soon screamed as Lucy got up looking around for them. I got up to not just smell Gajeel and Laxus. Someone else was here. Watching. I looked around pulling Lucy close to me. "Natsu what's wrong?" Lucy then asked as Gajeel and Laxus came over. They smelled and air and started to look around. Someone else was there. Watching, listening. Lucy just stayed close as the smell started to head towards the temple. "We need to get back fast and warn them" Laxus muttered.

I picked Lucy up bridal style once again before rushing toward the temple. If anything would happen to that place many people would of lost their homes. As we got back I could smell different scents all around us. "Laxus, get to Gramps" I ordered as Laxus nodded and ran off. "I will get the others ready for an attack" I ordered Gajeel who nodded and ran off. I put Lucy down and looked at her. She was looking at me worried. "Get to Levy and Mira, they will keep you safe" I told her. "But what about you?" she then asked.

"It's my job to keep you safe Lucy, I will be fine" I gave her a smile as she only nodded before running off inside. I then turned my head as the temple's alarms started to go off. "Dragon" I heard Jose's voice laugh. I then saw him come out the shadows with 3 armies around him. I stepped back a little looking around. "Damn it" I muttered as soon others joined me. "ATTACK" Jose shouted as Erza showed up, making a sword show in her hands. "DEFEND THE TEMPLE AT ALL COSTS" Erza shouted as everyone listened to her. 

As Jose's army ran at us we ran at them. Clashing into each other....

Meanwhile Lucy's Pov, 

I ran into Levy and Mira who hugged me tight. "Thank god your ok" Mira let out a sigh of relief. "Follow us" Levy then made us pull away from the hug as they dragged me off. We soon hurried down some stairs what lead us to two big double oak doors. "You and Levy stay here, I will be guarding outside" Mira opened the doors as I looked at her worried. "There is no running from this" a woman's voice echoed from inside. I started to shake as I remember hearing that voice from the slavery..... The one person everyone was scared to be sold too...
