Chapter 29, Dark Take Over

Natsu's Pov, 

I was in pain and on the ground bleeding pretty bad. I watched as Lucy's chocolate brown eyes turned into a dark golden colour.  What happened to her? Did Zeref take over? I could feel the power inside Lucy change. I didn't feel right, it was getting also very powerful. "Finally darkness" Master Hades laughed smirking as Zancrow looked at Lucy shocked. Her power levels were still rising. Did they plan on me taking the hit for Lucy? Was they really going to stab and nearly kill her? "Damn it" I muttered pushing myself to my feet.

"Zancrow deal with the Dragon he will just turn her good again" Hades ordered upset as Zancrow nodded and came flying at me. I didn't have time or the power to fight him. I had to get Lucy back in control of her own body. "Don't get in my way" I snapped feeling E.N.D wanting to come out. I felt the horns slowly growing on top of my head as he was winning the fight to take over. "Your miss is now ours, sorry there" Zancrow laughed like a mad man as that's when it snapped. E.N.D took over in a blink of an eye as he went zooming at Zancrow.

E.N.D using his self heal to make sure we didn't pass out and die. Sadly that meant his attacks weren't as strong. "My Princess" I heard Hades making E.N.D turn his head to see him bowing to Lucy. Her golden hair was now darker than normal. Lucy..... There had to be a way for me to help from in here. Then it hit me. The spell Wendy used before. I started thinking as much as I could as I tried remembering what she said. I soon remembered and started chanting hoping this wouldn't stop E.N.D from fighting anymore....

In Lucy's Mind, Lucy's Pov, 

I found myself standing in front of someone who looked just like me. Well she looked a little older wearing a fancy royal dress. "Remember her yet?" I heard my own voice making me turn around fast to see myself with golden eyes and my hair darker. My other self covered in blood. "W-what the?" I asked confused and scared. My other self just laughed at me. I felt one of my hands shake a bit. I really did have a dark side. "Don't listen to her my child" the woman behind me spoke. My eyes widen.

It was the same voice that had been whispering to me. I turned around fast to face her. "C-child?" I asked my voice cracking a little also. "My name is Layla Heartfilla" she then answered as my widen eyes started to water a little. S-she was my mother. S-she had been watching over me. "The men out there who have turned you dark killed me and the killed your father just a week ago" my mother then explained as I looked to the ground. Z-Zeref was lying after all? "Don't listen to her, our father didn't give a single damn about us" my other self snapped.

My other self walked up to my mother pushing her a little. "If he cared he would of came after us" she then snapped as I then reliazed. That was really how I felt when I learned who I was. In this person was also my feelings. My hate. My anger. My sadness. "Your father did look for you, the dark forces hid you away" my mother looked to me as I didn't know what to say or do. I was confused. Inside of me was two parts, one that wanted to help my other side but the other wanted to help my mother. 

"The fact we are even listening to this woman ain't right" my other self snapped looking at me. Her eyes filled with anger and bloodlust. I grabbed my head not sure what or who to listen to as they both started auguring about something. My eyes closed as I covered my ears, shaking my head as my eyes watered. What was really going on? Soon everything was quiet as two warm hands went on my shoulders. I opened my eyes to see a worried Natsu standing there. "Lucy" he whispered as I couldn't help but hug him.

Natsu hugged back, kissing my forehead. "Don't let darkness change you Lucy, what ever Zeref or anyone says your are my light, my everything" Natsu then whispered in my ear. Tears went down my cheeks as Natsu pulled away from the hug. He soon wiped away my tears and gave me a quick kiss on the lips. "Together we can stop Zeref" he then whispered as I smiled at him. "Lair" I heard my other self making Natsu turn around. There she was, my dark self standing there with her arms crossed.

"How can we stop something that is everywhere? In here" she then smirked as she was half right. She was dark side. My darkness. Natsu looked at me grabbing my hands. "You are stronger than Zeref, stronger than the darkness Lucy" Natsu had hope and love in his eyes as I smiled at him. "Do we though? We can summon spirits and the dark wizard makes demons and kills people with black orbs" my other self sounded upset and anger. I then looked at her. She was still standing other there with her arms crossed.

"Zeref has won, he won years ago why not just go along with him?" she then asked looking at me with a 'why' look. "Why? Because people like him destroy love, hope and happiness" Natsu then answered his grip on my hand tighten. As if he was scared that the darkness would destroy me. "Says the dark wizards young brother, when are you going to tell the others? Maybe I should tell them" my other self walked up over to us. Natsu faced her growling as he pushed me behind him. "We are the same person, like it or not" my other self laughed.

"How about you watch me, watch how powerful we now are" soon the background behind her started to changed as she vanished. I watched as it was me stealing a knife from Master Hades and looking at Zancrow. He was failing his fight with E.N.D. Soon the knife in my hands went flying into Zancrow's head shocking me. Then the others came into the room. The other Dragons and Dragon Masters...
