Chapter 27, Dark Side

In Lucy's Mind, Lucy's Pov, 

I was floating in a night colourful sky. I was looking around confused. "Welcome back Lucy Heartfilla" a voice chuckled around as I looked around. This was too familiar. It was creepy familiar. "W-who-" before I could finish a guy around Natsu's age showed up. "Your forgot who I was? Im Zeref" he answered as my eyes widen. H-he was in my mind? I looked around confused, unsure on what to do. "Why do you fight me Princess?" Zeref then asked as a chair showed up behind him.

He soon sat down onto the chair looking at me. "You are controlling my father and making the land worse" I then snapped as he just chuckled. "Im controlling a man who left you to be a slave" Zeref then made me freeze up confused. "He knew you was alive" Zeref then added as my eyes widen. "He didn't care" Zeref then leaned back in his chair as I turned to see one behind me. I some reason sat down thinking deeply in thought. "H-he didn't care?" I whispered my heart some reason braking.

"He didn't" Zeref answered as my eyes started to water. W-what was I really hoping for? A father who would open his arms to me? A father who really cared?

Meanwhile Natsu's Pov, 

Lucy looked in fear and in pain as we was in a inn. I was sitting in a chair next to her bed as I looked at the others. "There has the be a way you guys could send me into her mind, she needs help" I then begged as they started thinking. Mira looked to Levy who pulled out a book, skipping through the pages. "There might be a way with Wendy's help" Levy mumbled as looked at Lucy worried, grabbing her hand. She felt cold. I was getting more and more worried by the second. "Natsu it could hurt you a little" Wendy whispered.

"I don't care, she needs me" I replied looking at Wendy. She nodded walking over putting one hand on Lucy's forehead and her other hand on mine. "You will only have an hour in there" Wendy then informed me. I nodded as she started chanting something. A language that I didn't really understand. I felt my eyes get heavy as I passed out everything going black. Soon I started to hear a chuckle. I knew who's it was. Zeref......

Back In Lucy's Mind, Lucy's Pov, 

Zeref gave out another chuckle standing up and walking toward me. I didn't move. Still shocked. My own father wanted me to be a slave. He didn't give a damn about me. "Join us Lucy, join us and show the people you will look after them better" Zeref offered me his hand as I was taking deep breaths. I-I wasn't sure on what to do. Some small part of me was giving into this darkness. Was turning into my dark side. "GET AWAY FROM MY LUCY" my eyes widen to hear Natsu's voice. I looked up to see him punching Zeref away from me.

Zeref went flying off as Natsu then looked at me. Pulled me up and into a hug. "Don't ever listen to him" Natsu whispered as I hugged back. "He is a liar Lucy" Natsu then whispered as I heard Zeref's chuckling. Natsu and I pulled away from the hug, Natsu pulling me behind him as Zeref was standing there. "Hello little brother" Zeref smiled at Natsu as I stared at him shocked. "Im not your brother" Natsu snapped as I could feel E.N.D from inside him. I could feel how they wanted Zeref dead.

"We was brothers, once upon time" Zeref sighed his smile leaving his face. It was soon emotionless. I was a little scared as Natsu kept me behind him. "Your leaving my Lucy alone" Natsu snapped horns growing out his head as Zeref shook his head. "Still can't control the gift I gave you brother?" Zeref then asked as I was even more confused. Zeref soon looked at me and smirked. "You don't know do you?" Zeref then walked back over to his chair. He sat down on it leaning back staring at me.

"I gave Natsu his E.N.D form" Zeref then explained as I looked at Natsu shocked and confused. "You cursed me you mean" Natsu snapped upset heat coming off his body. "Don't get too upset, your gonna scare the Princess" Zeref then chuckled as Natsu took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. He looked at me seeing the confusion in my eyes. "Not even the temple know or the other dragons and masters" Natsu sighed as I put my hand on his cheek. Zeref watched confused as I smiled at Natsu.

"And I will also keep your secret Natsu" I whispered as he smiled at me. Zeref stood up glaring at us both, anger filled his face as Natsu glared at him. "I will be back and we both know that the Princess is slowly turning dark brother" Zeref informed as he faded away. Natsu turned to face me, placing his hand on my cheek. "Did he hurt you?" Natsu asked worried as I shook my head. "Told me heart braking things but that's all" I whispered as Natsu put his forehead on mine, not moving his hand from my cheek.

"He is a lair Lucy, don't ever listen to him" Natsu then whispered as I nodded. He soon pulled me into a kiss, shocking me at first. I soon kissed back my hands going on Natsu's shoulders as he pulled me close to him.. I was scared to tell him.... I was scared to tell him that Z-Zeref was telling the truth.... That I felt the darkness....
