I walked steadily down to Elron's home as I would at least once a week. I found myself smiling happily as I could see his home in my vision.
I was greeted by Teresa as normal, and proceeded to help her with chores around the house. We grew close as friends, and I appreciated that she took the time to listen and laugh with me.
"Raelyn, I actually think Elron needs some help, by the horse stables. Do you mind?" Teresa asked giving me a cheeky grin.
"Sure!" I replied heading off towards the stables.
I arrived at the stables and helped Elron groom the horses.
"I was thinking Raelyn, perhaps you would like to go on a ride with me today?" He said giving me a small hug and kissing the top of my head.
"I would love to" I said.
We gathered some food and water and took off on the horse.
"Where are we going, Elron?"
"You will see, be patient Raelyn." Elron said sending me a smile.
I huffed, at my impatient self and smiled back.
"Raelyn do me a favor, and please close your eyes."
"I suppose I could."
I closed my eyes for the remaining distance on the horse, it really cause me to focus on the horse's hooves, how they touched the ground with such power, before leaping up.
The horse stopped and I could hear the faint sound of trickling water.
"Don't open your eyes yet," Elron said helping me down off the horse.
He led me around then stopped and kissed my cheek.
"You can open your eyes."
I opened my eyes and found myself staring in awe, there was a beautiful circle of green trees around us, and a crystal clear pond in front of us.
"It is so beautiful here, Elron." I squealed.
"I hoped you would enjoy it."
I nodded excitedly and gave him a huge hug.
"Actually Raelyn, there is something I need to talk to you about." Elron said pushing me away slightly, smiling brightly at me.
"Raelyn, through all the time we have shared, you have brought me so much joy. You have filled me with hearty laughs that I haven't been able to have in such a long time." His eyes were staring deep into mine, heart filled.
"One thing you have given to me, that is so important and should never be given away easily, is your love."
I stared in wonder as he confessed this to me.
"And I have had some time to think it over, and I can't find anything wrong with telling you," Elron cleared his throat, "Raelyn, I love you. More than anything, I would do anything for you. So please, do me the honor, of marrying me."
Elron got down on one knee and took my hand in his.
My heart was beating profusely, my mind was reeling. He confessed his love for me, and proposed to me at the same time. I felt faint.
"I will marry you, Elron. Of course I will marry you." I said as he slid the ring on my finger.
We embraced each other, showering each other in kisses and "I Love You's"
----
A few weeks later we had our wedding, it was outside and it was absolutely beautiful.
We moved into a small cabin near the area where he proposed, which I now could call home.
I got to see him, the one I loved every single day, and the feeling never died. It was like a new adventure every day.
It just goes to show, that if you truly love someone, and you treat each other with kindness, you will have a happy ending and beginning.
