"Elron.." I thought.
"Yes Raelyn?" I heard Elron's sweet voice respond.
I opened my eyes hesitantly to see Elron's smiling face staring down at mine. My eyes shot open and I sat up quickly.
"Did I say that aloud?" I questioned, my face flustered.
"I would not lie to a lady, so yes indeed you said that." Elron chuckled.
I groaned loudly and covered my face in my hands.
"What were you thinking coming in here, it isn't exactly polite to be in a ladies room!"
"And miss your sleeping face? Is it that you were dreaming about me Raelyn?"
"Most definitely not!" I shouted standing up.
"Oh I am only jesting Raelyn." Elron mocked following close behind.
I smiled slightly but kept walking straight ahead.
"What is it you needed?" I questioned.
"We are heading towards the castle soon to begin our rebel, and I would like to ask you to accompany us."
"What of my family? I won't have any way of communicating with them."
"I can have a letter sent to them. Just tell me where they live, if that is the only thing you need. Would you do the honor of accompanying us."
"If you insist, but you must promise me that you will send a letter to my family."
"I promise. We leave within the hour, grab anything you think you may need. I am sure Teresa has some spare clothing you can have." Elron told me before leaving the room to rally up his men.
I quickly found Teresa and she gave me some simple dresses to wear on the journey.
"Might I suggest that you change into one of the garments now. Your dress is rather long, and it will be difficult if it drags the whole time." Teresa suggested.
"I suppose; however, these dresses are awfully shorter than what I am used to." I hesitantly chose one of the outfits.
As soon as I was finished dressing I looked in the mirror. The blue dress came to my knees; it was light and it flowed with my movements. Underneath the dress, I wore thick black tights and my boots that I arrived in.
I attempted to pull down the dress farther, as it appeared very scandalous but to no avail. Teresa entered the room to find me practically ripping the dress to get it below the knees.
"What ever are you doing Raelyn?" Teresa said with a cheeky smile on her face.
"I am about to go on a journey with a group of men and you expect me to wear this!?" I queried.
Teresa let out a laugh.
"Raelyn, it is practical for this journey. They are not going to take advantage of you. Even so, it is not like they have never seen above the knee of a woman." Teresa chuckled.
I gasped at her comment. "You can say that for all of them?"
"For most of them, yes, I can. You see, I overhear many things." She smiled.
"Even Elron?" I quickly said before I could stop myself.
Teresa's eyes grew wide and she gave me a big smile.
"Perhaps it is not my tale to tell." She reckoned.
I grew slightly irritated at the comment and stood up straight.
