mask

She doesn’t need you to tell her she’s fake,
She knows it all too well.
She sees the cracks in her façade,
And the pain she tries to quell.

She wears a mask to hide her heart,
Afraid of being seen.
She’s terrified of being hurt,
So she builds a wall between.
