I woke up and started getting ready to go talk to Aubrey I could barely sleep last night thinking about all the things I said to her .

I take my phone from the stand not even bothering to check my messages or anything . I walk across my room to get my clothes . After getting change I go downstairs . I walk out the door and I feel the beautiful Toronto weather . Once I reach Aubrey door I knock on it I hear a low voice say " come in ".

I walk in to see Aubrey mom with her head In Her hands weeping . " Hello Ms. Mitchell  I was wondering if Aubrey is home by any chance I need t- ". She gone Shawn " she said in a low voice with her voice cracking at the end . " wait what do you mean she's gone " I knew Aubrey wouldn't leave her home she loves it here our at least I thought she did .

Aubrey mom lifts up a note that has Aubrey fancy hand writing . " wait she left without saying goodbye ". I said almost on the edge of tears " Shawn check your messages maybe she sent you something she loves you to death she wouldn't leave without telling you ". Her mom said .

I took out my phone to see a message from Audrey I start reading the message in my head .

Hey Shawn ,

If your wondering where I am ... Don't worry I'll be okay ... Just know I won't forget you I might never see you again .. But maybe you will forgive me after what I said to you the other night .. I'm very sorry ... I hope you have an amazing life without me in it ...  Hey if your still writing songs and dreaming about becoming a artist  just know I will support you I will even fly back home or to where ever just to see you again and to watch your perform  ... I believe in you Mendes  ... I love you , you won't be forgotten .. You will always have a place in my heart . ~ love Aubrey

She left because she couldn't handle the pain ...

I start texting Aubrey back .

Aubrey where are you .. I'm at the house I'm here to give you an apology... And all I get is that you ran away . Aubrey when are you coming back ?! - sent at 8:15 am .
I see three little dots trying back .

Shawn I don't think I'll ever return .. I'm sorry I left you I just couldn't stay any longer I couldn't live with myself if I hurt you anymore then I already did .. Please block my number erase me from your existence I'm not worth it Shawn . Find yourself a girl that will love you as much as I still do , maybe one day we can meet again hopefully by then All of our problems are solved I love you Shawn . -sent at 8:18am .

Yes I know there is a different time zone but this is on shawn phone so it's his point of view .

I re-read the message why would she tell me to forget about her . I'm crazy about her I love her .. I start to type back but I can't at the bottom of the message she just sent it says . You are no longer allowed to send messages to this number .

I start to break down I feel a small hand go on my back . " Shawn she's come back soon she wouldn't leave you " , " Ms. Mitchell did you not notice she already did "! I scream . She flinches " I'm sorry " I turn around to walk out the door while Aubrey's mom is calling my name .

Aubrey left .
She left our  6 years of friendship behind .
She left our memoirs behind .
She left me behind .

Maybe I didn't deserve her ... Maybe she didn't deserve me ... I'm done with everything .
Once I get home I start writing a new song called : Aftertaste .

Probably should've known .  ( all the lies she has told me about her happiness)

Now you're all alone, yeah ".  I put down my song book , I  take my phone and open the app called vine and  I put it on a stand and start recording.

" Hey guys this is my original song it's called 'Aftertaste' it's not finished yet so bare with me ".  I start singing the lyrics I just wrote down while playing some random chords and surprisingly it fits The lyrics . After the record button goes off indicating that it stop recording it . I quickly upload it ... I log out of the app . I lay down to take a quick nap ...

Yes I know Aftertaste isn't Shawn's first song but let's pretend it is .

( sorry I haven't been updating its because I graduated 2 days ago and I got a little lazy and I started writing a new story )
