Looking for a dress for prom isn't easy especially when you don't have a friend there to help you pick one out . ( I didn't have much friends in high school) I start looking around until I see the one that caught my eyes it was a two piece long black dress . I picked it up and took it to the fitting room to try it on .
I looked at the mirror and was shocked at what I say I looked beautiful... And I finally felt confident.
I spun around In the dress I felt like a princess
I put back my outfit that I came in to go shopping which was a black low cut crop top and high wasted shorts with my white converse.
I walk over to the cashier to pay for my dress after I finish paying I walk over to my car to see something I didn't want to see . Shawn hugging a girl ... I guess he asked her to prom ... Shawn holding a poster that I'm pretty sure said something very cheesy but i couldn't really see with the tears in my eyes . I put the dress in the back and start the car I drive past them not caring about anything at all anymore ...
I don't need a date right ? ... Or maybe I can call an old friend from California. I grab my phone from my pocket and start dialing my old friend .
Aubrey: Hi Sammy you there ?
Sammy : Aubrey how are you doing I heard your back in your hometown ?!
Aubrey: I'm fine but I was wondering if you can fly to Toronto to be my date for my senior prom ? I said nervously
Sammy : I would love to Aubrey when is it so I can fly out as soon as possible.
Aubrey : my prom is this Sunday the 26th are you going to be able to show up ?
Sammy : of course I will be able to I'll see you soon love
End of phone call
Well now I have a date , a dress and shoes I just need a hair style and I need to get my nails done .
I keep driving till I see a nail salon I park the car and walk inside . Once I get inside I tell the lady I want coffin nails ^ I'm not good at explaining so there the nails Aubrey got 👇🏼.

After the lady is done finishing my nails I pay her then I leave . I can't wait till prom ... I kinda expected Shawn to ask my but I guess that's not going to happen ... I drive home to put everything away before I can plop down on my bed I get a text from Sammy .
Sammy : hey Aubrey my flight leaves at 5pm and I might end up getting there at 4am will you please come pick me up at the airport ? 4:14pm
Aubrey : okay I'm going to end up begin lazy but I'll pick you up . 4:15pm
Sammy : okay I'm gonna start boarding soon I'll see you there bye . 4:16pm
After texting Sammy I put down my phone ready to take a nap .

"Alright guys we have to get this perfect for Aubrey ". I said getting nervous I look at my friend Lauren " Shawn don't worry you will be just fine this is the cutest way to ask a girl " she said .
" I just want this to be perfect ". I said holding the poster in my hand Lauren look at me and gives me a hug .
" if only there were more guys like you Shawn". She said into the hug
I couldn't hug her back I had the poster in my hand I was currently waiting for Aubrey to get out of the store but it look like she wasn't going to come out anytime soon . I look to the side to see Aubrey driving off .
Why did she leave ? I was going to ask her ? Did she think I asked Lauren ?! Shit !? Fuck my life ?!
" dang it she left before I could even ask her ". I said pointing to her car driving away . Shawn you will find a way to get her ". Lauren said .
