Tess

"Where are you taking me?" I asked nervously. "My home." He replied. I have to admit, he scares me, now that I can see him better without tears blocking the way. His eyelids were burnt off, he was pale white with singed blak hair, had a permanent, cut-in smile, and was COVERED in blood. It freaked me out...a lot, actually. But he seemed to be a nice person since he was helping me get away from the police. He was still carrying me and I kinda wanted him to put me down. "Jeff," I said, Can you put me down? I think I can walk now." He put me down gently, grabbed my hand, and started running. I wasn't much of a runner, so I was basically being dragged behind. "C'mon," he said, "You need to run faster than that if you want to stay out of prison." I picked up my pace as we entered the woods. I was hoping it was just a shortcut, since I don't like these particular woods. I went here once and saw something I can't forget. But, soon enough, we came across a big mansion in a clearing. Super. Jeff fumbled with his keys to try and get the door open. The mansion was pretty old, so the door creaked alot. He pulled me inside and shut the door. It was a very elegant place, but it was falling apart bit by bit. I assumed he didn't mind, though. You know, since he lived here. "I'M HOME!!!!!" he yelled. Soon, a little girl, about 8, came running downstairs. She was covered head-to-toe in blood. She wore dirty white socks and a blood stained night gown with the name"Sally" embroidered on it. She ran up to Jeff and hugged his legs. I thought it was pretty adorable that she loved him so much. Soon more people came down stairs. Next was a boy, alot older than sally but not a lot taller then her. He looked like Link from Legend of Zelda, but his eyes were black with red pupils and his skin was gray. Him and Jeff did some handshake thing and I could already tell that they must be best friends. Two people in brown hoodies came down. One had his hood up, the other had it down. The one with no hood had a white mask on with drawn on facial features, messy brown hair, and sideburns. The one with a hood had black fabric covering his face With red eyes and a red frown stiched on. They were a little creepy, but not so bad. They looked about Jeff's age. Next came a boy with a blue mask on that only had eyeholes. He wore a black hoodie and had brown hair. I heard the jingling of a collar and a dog rushed to meet Jeff. This dog scared the shit out of me when I first saw him. I think I let out a little scream. The dog had red and black fur and a cut-in smile, courtesy of Jeff, I assumed. It seemed like a good dog, though. It was sweet to Sally, who finally let go of Jeff's legs to pet the dog. It licked her prefusely, which I thought would wash the blood off her face, but it seemed to be permanent. Finally, a tall man in a suit appeared. I felt the color drain from my face. That was the thing I saw in the woods a few years ago. He was about 8 feet tall, as skinny as a skeleton, was pale white, and had no facial features whatsoever. I froze. I couldn't move or speak. I let out a little scream, but that was all I could manage. I felt Jeff look at me, along with everyone else. I guess they finally noticed me. There was absolute silence. Sally came up to me and tugged on my sweater sleeve. It broke me out of my trance and I looked at her. "What's your name?" she asked. Her voice was the most adorable thing I've ever heard. "I'm Tess." I answered. "Are you a human?" "Yes I am." The joy in her faced turned into disgust. She looked at Jeff, pulled him down to her height level, and whispered something in his ear. He whispered something back and she smiled at me again. She then hugged my legs and looked up at me. "My name's Sally," she said,"it's very nice to meet you." I smiled down at her. She was so cute! Next, the Link boy walked up to me. "Why are you here?" he asked. I looked at Jeff, hoping for an answer, since I didn't even know why I was there. Jeff smiled at me and whispered something to the Link boy. His face brightened  and he shook my hand, saying,"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name's BEN." It went on like that for a while. I didn't know what Jeff was whispering to them, but it made them like me, so it was ok. I found out the kid with the blue mask's name is Eyless Jack, on account of his lack of eyes, and the two boys in brown hoodies are Masky and Hoody. I think you can guess which one's which. And the dog's name was Smile. He was cute and liked me without Jeff saying anything to him. It all came down to the tall man. I look up to where his eyes should be. I was deathly afraid of him. He looked me up and down and placed a cold white hand on my shoulder. I shivered with fear. "Why are you in my home? What is your purpose?" he said. His voice was deep and staticky. Just another reason for me to fear him. "I-I...I don't know. Jeff brought me here after I killed my ex-boyfriend. He didn't really give me an explanation." I closed my eyes as tears fell down my cheeks. Something was wiping them away, though. when I opened my eyes, I saw the tall man using a tentacle-like thing to wipe away my tears. "You are here because you are a killer," he said,"Jeff saw potential in you, and took you in. However, you are not to return to the human world under any circumstances, except to kill. Do you understand me?" I nodded. "Good. I am Slenderman, by the way. May I speak with you in private?" I nodded again, and followed him upstairs into a study.

The walls of the study were lined with shelves full of books. I guess Slenderman is big on reading. He leaned against a desk and crossed hi arms. "Tess," he started,"Do you remember two years ago when you were walking home, and you passed these woods?" I nodded,"Yes Mr. Slenderman. I'll never forget that day. I've never been so terrified in all my life." I assumed he was smiling because his cheekbones went up. "Ah, yes. Now, I understand that you are still afraid of me. Am I, or am I not correct?" "You are." I said, "But I can overcome that with ti-" "No, Tess. I want you to fear me. Even here, the people I've taken in and mentored fear me. And I wouldn't want that any other way. The only people that don't fear me are my brothers, which is another reason I can't stand them." "But, I don't understand. Why would you want your family to be afraid of you?" "Because that's what I feed off of, Tess. And soon enough, you will too." I don't like this. I don't like this at all. What if I stop being afraid of him. Will he kill me? Or wil he torture me for the rest of my life? Oh God this is so confusing! I should of just called the cops on Joey, maybe then I wouldn't be in this mess!
