Jeff
It had been almost two months since Tess' incident. We were nearing Christmas and she was back to her normal, bubbly self. We didn't talk about what she had shown me, she said that we had to keep it a secret no matter what. I had agreed, but I thought about the note she had gotten from Jane when she first moved in here. The first two lines were stuck in my mind. "Secrets, secrets are no fun, these little things could hurt someone." What if, by keeping this secret, I was actually hurting Tess instead of helping her? I looked over at her. She was helping Slendy and Sally with the tree. Tess had Sally on her shoulders so she could reach the higher branches. Slendy gave Sally the star and she put it on the tree. Everyone clapped and Tess put her back on the ground. It didn't look like she was hurting, she didn't even have a fake smile on her face, which was good. I walked up to Tess and kissed her on the cheek. She turned around and smiled at me. "What was that for?" she asked. I smiled and answered, "Because you're you." She giggled and kissed me. She broke away and continued with the tree. I smiled and looked out the window. It was getting dark out. I looked around the room and smirked. Everyone's busy, so I think I'm gonna go out and have some fun.
I was making my way home after killing two families and a drunk guy. I was covered in blood and feeling pretty satisfied with myself. I heard a laugh and stopped walking. That laugh was all too familiar to me. I listened carefully. There it was again. I turned around to see Jane standing under a streetlamp. "Why hello Jeffie," she giggled, "You're looking well." I drew my knife. "What do you want?" I asked. She frowned and put up defensive hands. "Now Jeffie, there's no need for that. I only want to talk." She came a little closer to me. I knew what she was doing. She was trying to seduce me into letting my guard down before she struck. "Just tell me what you want." I demanded. She giggled again before coming closer...closer...closer. We were almost nose to nose before she stopped walking. "Oh Jeffie," she sighed, "There are many things that I want, but only one I know you can give to me." "What do you mean?" I asked. She snickered. "I want your girlfriend. Trash like you doesn't deserve her attention...or physical contact." "You've been spying on us?" I accused. "Hmm, spying is a strong word. I like to call it watching over from a distance. My point is, i want you to leave her alone. I don't want you near her." I was confused. Why did she want me away from Tess? What did she have that Jane wanted? Wait a second..."Are you jealous of my relationship with Tess?" I asked. Jane stared her beady black eyes angrily into mine before returning to her normal stature. "I don't know what you're talking about." She replied. "You are, aren't you? You're in love with Tess!" I laughed hysterically as Jane's face got red with embarrassment and anger. "What's so funny?" She asked. I tried to catch my breath. "It's just that...there's no way in hell...that she would ever...love you." I said between breaths. Jane looked hurt, like I had stabbed her in the stomach. I stopped laughing and smirked. Might as well twist the knife while it's in there. "Tess is with me, she loves ME, not you. Besides, how could anyone ever love you? You're just as much of a monster as I am, but at least I'm beautiful." That did it. Jane lunged for me, but I ducked out of the way as she fell onto the cold, hard asphalt face-first. I laughed. She didn't get up. I stopped laughing and listened. She was...weeping. I watched her cry and couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for what I had said. I knelt down beside her body. She looked up at me. "I know you're a killer, but you don't have to be so mean!" she shouted. "You could at least respect the fact that I love her, even if she doesn't love me back. You are a terrible person and I hate you!" She got up and ran off. I heard the heels of her boots clicking against the pavement and fade off into the distance. I got up and stood there for a moment. Jane and I are mortal enemies. We hate each others guts and try to kill each other every chance we get. She's the bade of my existance and I'm the bade of hers. However, if all of this is true, then how come I feel so guilty for what I said? I shrugged it off and continued home before the cops found me.
I walked into the mansion to see it was fully decorated. Damn, Tess must've really put them to work. I looked around the house looking for everybody, but I couldn't find anyone. I went upstairs and walked to Tess' room. I knocked three times but got no answer. I slowly opened the door and stepped inside. The room was dark and empty. I guess everyone's out killing. I sat on the edge of Tess' bed and texted her Just got home, miss you, how was decorating? and hit send. I heard a phone beep nearby. Curious, I got up to check it out. I walked into the bathroom where the noise came from and saw Tess' phone on the floor. My text lit up on the screen. That's odd, tess never leaves the house without this. My phone beeped in my hand. I looked down at it. It was a text from an unknown number. It read: this is what happens when you mess with me... My phone beeped again and a picture of Tess came up. I gasped. She was tied up and in some stone building or hideout of some sort. I immediately knew Jane was behind this. I grabbed Tess' phone, raced downstairs and out the door. I sent out a text to everyone: Meet at the mansion...emergency...come right now!!!! The pasta's and I couldn't stop Jane ourselves(believe me, we've tried,)but I knew someone who might be able to help us. I pulled Tess' phone out and went to her contacts immediately. I tapped on the first contact on the list and waited for them to pick up. "Hello?" said the person on the other line. "Anna," I said, "It's Jeff. We have a problem."
