Chapter 2- The Necklaces

~The Necklaces~

(Madison's P.O.V.)

"Mom! The owner of the school kicked me out! I won't be needing these itchy uniforms anymore!" i chirped as i enter the house. I skip happily on my way to my room to change into my comfortable penguin onesie that i bought a long time ago. When i was about to arrive to myroom, my mother stopped me from the top of the stairs.

"My friend apologised for what happened today. She said you're still going to that school so whatever you do, you cant escape" she smirks in an evil way and left. I've always hated my mother, because for some reasons, i can't seem to win fights over her

I groaned and stomped to my room. There, Tricia greeted me

"Hello Madi! How's school?" she asks as i sat on my bed

"Worst day of my life"

She laughed at my comment and started to do something with my hair

"Oh wait, your mother gave me something that belongs to you" she stand up from the bed and started to open drawers

"Aha! Here it is!" she walked up to me and handed a cream-colored small box. I opened it and i showed a half-heart with a small gem on the side the writings; Love is between and

"What does this mean?" i asked curiously as i examine the necklace

"Your fiancé has the other half. You'll find out the message once you've met each other" she smiles at me

"Do you know him? They guy i'm going to marry?"

"Yes. You two have met before. It was before the......accident" she replies making the last part a whisper "Can't you still remember everything that's happen since then?"

"No. It's like everything was erased" i replied and sighed

~The Next Day~

I got up early and did the same routine yesterday morning and once again, i tried to sneak extra clothes; i failed. This time, i have the necklace around my neck

My mother took me back to school and i entered the same hallway where i bumped into Luke. I reached my locker and there, Kayla was waiting for me with something in her hands

"Oh my god! I thought you weren't coming back!" she panicked ad hugged me

"I thought so to" i said in a sarcastic tone and looked at my time table, i have Physical Education. i groaned and took my clothes

"Let's go!" she cheered and we went straight to the girl's locker room. In there, slutty girls were changing, applying make-up, pushing their boobs to make them look bigger and other horrible things. But, there's something weird. They're all wearing the same necklaces

"Uhm... Kayla? What's with the necklaces? Is that necessary or something?" i nudged Kaya

"Oh that."

"Always us forever ? What does that even mean?" i continued to ask her

"It is rumoured that Luke's special girl has the other half. This girl is so special to him that he's willing to turn his back on everything, wealth, and fame just for him to be with her" She explains carefully as i listen and enter a bathroom stall while she enters the one beside mine

"So? Has he found her?" i asked as i change my shirt

"No. Because if he did, you all hell is going to break lose"

"Huh? What do you mean?" i laughed at her comment

"All those girl will go crazy" she replied and i pull up my shorts

"I feel bad for the girl" i laughed and we both exited wearing our gym uniforms

"Okay class, we will be playing basketball. Girls can play with boys if they want to" the coach explains

Cool! A basketball!

The coach whistled and most of the girls didn't move. I pulled Kayla with me and Ashton approached us. I felt her body stiff beside me

"Hey Madi! Lucas, Asian, and Mike out numbered me. Let's play 3-on-3 with them! Kayla can join!" Ashton happily suggested. Kayla is probably dying inside right now. I looked over at the other team and i saw what Kayla has been talking about, the necklace around his neck

"So? You guys on?" Ashton asked

"Yeah!"

Me and Kayla joined the game and it began. Ashton got some shots from here and there and so does the other team. I also did some 3-poinnter which made Ashton very happy. Kayla was just passing balls to me and Ashton.

I touch my neck sometimes just to make sure the necklace is still there, and with my luck, it still is! So, i kept playing some more

~1 minute left in the game~

Our team is leading by one point! The ball is in Ashton's hand and Calum is guarding him probably going to try to steal the ball to get a score while guess who's guarding me.. that's right! It's Luke Hemmings himself

"I thought i kicked you out?" Luke asked trying to make a conversation

"I'm like a cat. Eight more lives" i smirked as i try to escape from here and there, i got a closer look with that famous necklace of his. It looks almost the same as mine but bigger. Without knowing, my own necklace came out from under my shirt

"That necklace! I want to see it!" Luke exclaimed and pointed at it which got some attention

"No! It's mine! I can decide if i want you to see it or not" i gripped my necklace tight and put it back under the shirt

"I want to see it! Show me!" he demanded

"No!" i poked my tongue out

"You're starting to annoy me! Just show me the damn jewelry!"

"No! You have your own!"

We continued to fight. The students around started to form a circle to watch us fight. Luke was about to give me a comeback when Calum decided to end it

"Luke, she's got a point. She owns it and she has every right. Just buy one for yourself and leave her alone" Calum defended for me. I heard whispers around and felt death glares from those girls in the locker room

Luke gave me an annoyed look and I rolled my eyes. Before anything gets worse, the school bell rang which means the period has ended. Kayla and I went back to the locker room and changed inito our normal, itchy, and annoying school uniforms. After that, I looked myself in the mirror and fixed my ponytail

"Well, well, well. Isn't this the girl that tries to steal our boys." a girl with thick make-up and fake boobs, nose, and bum walked behind me along with her two other friends.

How did I know those were fake? I used to have plastic friends like those before.

"Uhm. I don't know what you're talking about" I replied to them with my backpack on my right shoulder

She gasped at my answer "You're obviously trying to seduce my Luke and my Calum! You're getting obsessed with them!"

"Oh really? Says the girl who wears an imitation of Luke's necklace because she think she's actually that girl" I turned around at her and smirked

"Oh my god! You little bitch" she raised her hand and was about to slap me. I closed my eyes waiting for that painful sting that i'm going to feel once that dirty hands of hers connects with my cheeks. To my surprise, I felt nothing. I open my eyes and there, I saw Luke gripping her wrist trying to stop it from slapping me

"Don't hurt her" he told her in a stern tone of voice

"No i'm not hurting her! I was just.....giving her....a...high five" she replied slowly with nervousness in her voice

"Don't lie to me. I saw everything" he glares at her

Luke has this thing in his eyes that look like he' willing to kill her.

"What are you doing in here anyways?! This is the girls' locker room! Get out you pervert!" I exclaimed at him and people starts to gasp. Just like my first day, people has their cameras out taking a video of everything that's happen

"Why do you keep calling me names?! Come here. You're coming with me" Luke replies and removed his grip from the Barbie girl and took mine instead. He dragged me out of the locker room with my bag and without Kayla.

I tried to escape from his grip but, it's too tight. He was pulling me along the corridors where every student is literally looking at us taking pictures and stuff.

Damn this guy has some massive fame!

He continued to pull m up until the back of the school. He gets go of my wrist and put his hand on the wall. I step back until my back hits the wall and accidentally dropped my bag on the floor. I've been cornered!

"Do you feel uncomfortable right now?" Luke asks as he moves his face closer to ine

I gulped "what am I doing here? I'm going to be late for my next class"

"Fuck that. I need to see your necklace"

"For the last time, I am not showing it to you! Please leave me alone" I narrowed my eyes and gripped the little pendant under my shirt tighter

"Fine. I'll leave you alone if show me that pendant. I promise" he looked me straight to the eyes "and I rarely promise" he added

I thought about his agreement. It's just one little peak, right? Then after that, he won't come near me anymore. It seems fair to me

"Fine. One look" I replied and pulled the half-heart shape pendant of my necklace to show it to him.

He looks at it closely. He removed his necklace around his neck and examines the both black and cream-colored pendants. Suddenly, Luke starts to connect them and the weirdest thing happened. The pendants clicked and connected to each other. Those uncompleted phrases are now understandable; 'Love is always between us and forever'

What does this suppose to mean? My heart is thumping loudly in my chest. I looked at Luke andhe was looking back at me

"Is this yours?" he asked me and I nodded rapidly

"Are you sure?" he asked again

"Yes! For fuck's sake! Yes it's mine" I replied with annoyance in my voice

"You. It's you then. You're the girl I have been looking for." he held both of my shoulders

"Is this some sort of a joke to you? Are you doing something to annoy me again?" I glared at him and took my bag with me making sure that my special jewelry is still around my neck

(Luke's P.O.V.)

It's her. After ten years, she's still sassy as ever. This time, I am never letting her go

~After school~

(Madison's P.O.V.)

Today was the weirdest day of my life. My necklace somehow connected to Luke's and made a cheesy quote. Girls in my class was trying to probably kill me but they cant because Luke was in the room watching me which I find very weird.

I got home and opened the door with my stomach craving for some ice cream. I dropped my bag by the stairs and walked to the freezer to take my favorite flavor of ice cream; chocolate mint. I took my spoon and started to scoop the cold dessert when my other entered the house with my father

"Madi!I have something to tell you! My mother chirped and my father sat beside me and we shared the ice cream I was eating

"You're meeting your fiancé tomorrow!" she squealed while I choke on the piece of chocolate

"What?!" I exclaimed

"That's right! So, tomorrow at 8:00, we will all eat dinner including his family so, I want you looking good, m'kay?" she asked

I rolled my eyes and nodded. I feel quite excited. I wonder who's it going to be..
