"Are you okay? Do you want to talk about it?"

"Not with you cloud girl." Ruby shook me off of her and tucked her long blonde hair behind her ear. She's very pretty and I understand why guys are all over her.

"Who am I going to tell?"

She chuckled. It's true that I have virtually no friends at school. And she knows that.

"But I can't tell you. You hate me and my friends. You could black mail me or something." I never noticed before because I usually try to block everyone out, but she has a beautiful Australian accent.

"I don't hate you or your friends. But honestly, how do you call those girls your friends? They're pretty terrible."

"Yeah. I know. But it's easier to be the predator than the prey. And they're not so bad. They just..." She trailed off, I could tell she knew how awful they are.

"Well, since you don't want to talk. Could you at least tell me where I am?"

"You don't know where you are?"

"Yeah. I, um, didn't pay attention while I was running. I sorta got lost."

"You're on Richmond Avenue right now. Two streets over is the main road."

"Towne Road?"

"Yeah."

"Wow. I'm really far away."

"Where do you live?"

"Austin Drive."

"Yeah. That's like, 15 streets that way." Ruby pointed in the direction that I had come from.

"Thanks. And if you ever do want to talk to someone who gains nothing from knowing juicy details about you. You can always talk to me."

She chuckled at my offer. She picked her phone up from the cushion next to her and handed it to me. I added my information in there and sent a 'hi' text to myself.

"Bye, Ruby."

"Bye Sky."

I started jogging until I could pick up the pace. I ran into the street name started to look familiar. Then I walked. Getting back into the house I checked the time on the oven. 9:26. I grabbed a glass of water and went back upstairs. I pulled the sweaty clothes off of me through them in the hamper and jumped into the shower. After a nice, refreshing shower and putting on some comfy pajamas I looked at my homework. I only had three problems left my history, so I finished it. I couldn't be bothered with my math homework. It was too easy to even do it. I checked my phone and added Ruby's contact. I also noticed another text message.

Unknown:  So. You on the track team or something?

I suppose it would be polite to reply. No matter how little I actually want to talk to this boy.

Me:  Not officially. I still need to try out. But yes, I want to be. Why do you ask?

It didn't take long for a response. He must be on his phone a lot.

Unknown:  That's cool. And you look like a runner. That's all. Why are you so hesitant to talk to me?

Me:  Because most people are assholes.

Unknown:  So, you're just going to assume that I too, am an asshole?

Me:   I don't even know your first name.

Unknown:   I don't know either of your real names Cloud Girl.

Me:  My name is Sky and you can't call me that.

Unknown:   My name's Calum Thomas Hood. And I think Sky is an awesome name.

Me:   Thank you CTH.  Are you going to try out for track?

CTH:  I don't see why not. You're going to be on the team.

Me:  Haha. Yeah. Be on the team because of a girl not because your a good runner or anything. Totally.

CTH:  Was that sarcasm?

Me:  Noooo!!!! Not at all!!! (Yes)

CTH:  Anyways, I'm gay. So I wouldn't be on the team for a girl.

Me:   Oh shit. I didn't know. Also, a bit of advice: don't just tell people that at our school. You will regret it.

CTH:  It's okay. And I know not to tell people. But you don't talk to anyone. So I figured I could trust you.

Me:  Right, well, I need to go to sleep now. So goodnight.
Also! Another piece of advise: don't talk to me at school. If you want to keep being friends with anyone.

CTH:  Thanks. And I'm sorry people are assholes. Good night.

So. I suppose not everyone's an asshole. Especially not Calum. He's actually pretty nice. I guess. It's kind of hard to judge someone's personality through text message.
